Sample at the pub. Clear copper color. Aroma is light vanilla and hints of fruit. Oak influence is subtle with mostly vanilla in a moderate malty body. Toasted grains with a mild hint of alcohol in the finish. Not bad.

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Light sweetness, hints of oak, light spicy yeasty notes, fruity sweetness, and hints of vanilla. Pretty good.

UPDATED: DEC 29, 2013 Tap at the brewpub. Clear orange pour with a clingy white head. Somewhat sweet, sugary so, and the vanilla tastes a bit artificial.

Clear copper color. Great white head. Lots of bubbles. Spicy, herbal aroma. Ginger and toasted sugar flavor. Lasting sugary aftertaste.

Light amber with thinner white head and visible carbonation. Cotton candy and vanilla nose. Spritzy caramel sweetness, hint of hop flavor and bitterness. Hint of oak, too. I found this to be a really enjoyable beer.

Growler shared by Hophead22. Poured an amber color with thin white head. Aroma was lots of brown sugar and some burnt caramel. Taste was very similar with some oakiness. Lower carbonation. Overall not too bad.

Growler from Cletus, thanks John. Rating #10. Pretty beer, clear dark orange with a nice, but thin, white head. Sweet, a little oakey, yeasty as well. More oak in the flavor, spicy sweet, not too bad. (1195)

Amber in coloration with a medium head relative to the size of the sample pour. Overall watered down and lacking something. Sweet yet lacks the complecity of a beer with such an alcohol content.

on tap-pours a thin white head and hazy gold color. Aroma is spicy, fermented fruit, alcohol. Taste is light malt, peppery/spicy, fermented fruit, alcohol. Some kolsch/Boone’s farm character, not my taste.
