UPDATED: NOV 28, 2004 Draught: Lighter amber color. It had a little head, but not too much, with a small amount of lacing. Aroma is a bit thin. I get some citrus hops and a little malt, plus some floral notes. There is a decent enough maltiness to the beer, but pretty this on any bitterness to the taste. Good, but a bit on the thin side for a Pale Ale. A typical "standard" house beer for a micro: good, but definitely brewed for the Macro masses. BroSpud (2247) - , Massachusetts, USA - MAY 1, 2013
12oz beer. Pours a medium clear amber with a beige head. Very true to the style of an english ale. Slightly sweet malt flavors with the english hop bitterness on the back end. Nothing spectacular. msante79 (2244) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - NOV 2, 2012
On tap at Buffalo Wild Wings. Pours clear amber with a white head. Aromas of toasted malts, caramel, and some grassy hops. Flavors caramel, toasted malts, very ligh hop note in there as well. Drinkable but that is about it. rocbyter (2159) - Waterbury, Connecticut, USA - JAN 10, 2011
Malty apple aroma. Clear amber color with a small white head. Light bitter beginning that fades in the finish. Light sweet throughout. scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - SEP 21, 2007
Dark orange, creamy white head. EPA nose of black iced tea that warms to citric notes and hints of toffee brittle. Flavor cuts to the chase with a heavier dried fruit tone thats balanced on touches of caramel. Nicely bittered from start to finish. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, soft bittersweet finish. Sessionable and well done. This and thier IPA rule the roost here...

Tap @ Bradley Intl. Airport Sheraton: Malty aroma with a bit of spices. Musty flavor akin to a Scottish ale. Nothing really that special compared to some of the top rated Amber ales. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - MAY 24, 2014
Thin looking mahogany color body with a quickly dissipating white head. Aroma had a mix of caramel malts and done biscuit malts. Maybe a bit of corn. A cherry coke sweetness to it. Flavor had a mix of sweet malts and a generic bitterness which at times seemed astringent. Light palate. Nice beer but not great.

on tap at the brewpub; a great amber ale with a smooth caramel malt background and a nice noble hop flavor SanfordBrewer (1610) - Sanford, Florida, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Translucent amber with a thin but persistent beige head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation.
Aroma: grassy pale malt, brown or medium-dark crystal malts, a touch of roast, and fallen leaves.
Taste: toasted and caramel malts, a hint of roast, subtle woodsy hop bitterness.
Elements are all there, but lacking life and unity.
