Light yellow colored, little white head. Sweet, lemony, estery aroma with mild cardboard. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is more cardboardy with esters and some dryness in aftertaste. Lemon also lasts.

Can from the LCBO. Very pale greenish-yellow body with a huge white head that disappears while my back is turned for a few seconds - literally! Aroma - Jesus, what is that? It’s like an odd spiced sour ale with a strong suggestion of plastic and a backing note of cooked vegetables. I have honestly never smelled a beer that smells like this before, and I hope I never do again. Flavour isn’t quite as repulsive, but it’s still no great shakes - cheap tasting malt, icing sugar, corn, harsh grassy hops, and a helluvalot more alcohol in the finish than I should be getting off a 4.8% lager. Hoo boy.

Metalchopz (3384) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 14, 2010
Second brew from Romania at the LCBO. Can with a best before date written on its bottom: 07.05.2011. Pours a clean light gold colour with a white foamy head that dissipate quickly enough, leaving a bit of lace. The aromas are pretty mild with some grains and some sweetness that reminds me of apple juice. Crisp mouthfeel and medium-bodied. The grassy normal pils taste is found with some light malt. Again, nothing special here (and I think I prefer the Ursus Premium just a bit more).

Lager like one in a hundred, but still one of the best in Romania. More bitter and less watery than the rest.

rederic (3337) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 8, 2010
500ml can, bright clean yellow color, with a bubbly white head, faint corny, grainy honeyed pale, pilsener malt nose with a light haystack accent in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a crisp pale cereal malt, faint grainy honeyish character with a light flowery grassy herbal hop note with a hint of vanilla, and a mild corny undertone accent, leading towards a mild malty sweetness, light leafy hop bitterness finish.

Canette 500ml.

Grumbo (2946) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - AUG 24, 2013
Bottle from Rasputin’s Food & Wine, Ipswich. Pale gold colour with a white foamy head. Slightly sweet aroma with grain and grass. Average carbonation, some bitterness to finish.

0.5 l can shared with Doggythedog, huge thanks! Poured golden body with smaller head. Malty, mostly dusty nose with some citrus hops and notes of corn besides. Flavor...what is this!? Metallic, soapy, ugly industrial bitter as well. After few sips poor palate gets used to it so some corn becomes evident but it’s strange anyway, ranging between sour, bitter and sweet. Drinkable to some stage, but still with awful bitter finish. How the hell can someone launch such beer I don’t know, obviously they miss someone who will actually try their crap before putting it on the market.

Lore (2743) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 25, 2016
ple yellow colour, medium sized stable white head; aroma of wet cardboard, metallic and grainy notes; taste of grains, some sourness, metllic and cardboard notes; not good at all
