Draft at the source. Cloudy brown color, scant head. Aroma of Starbucks. Taste is similar. The coffee overwhelms the subtle spice of the regular version. Barreras (1689) - Diamond Bar, California, USA - JUL 26, 2014
UPDATED: JUL 27, 2014 Pours a deep brown color with a rich coffee aroma. Taste is of dark roasted coffee mixed with a dark chocolate. The coffee flavor was rich, almost espresso that lingered on the palate well after the swallow. A minimal roasted malt taste. As rich as this beer was, it was still smooth and complex. An A+ beer from a local brewery. brokensail (16486) - Dublin, California, USA - MAR 25, 2013
Slightly less hazy than the regular. Very dark brown pour with a tan head. Nose is all coffee. Nice roasted malt and dark chocolate notes, but mostly coffee. Light malt and dark fruit sweetness. There’s still some bitterness to the flavor, but a good coffee character. Dark chocolate, molasses, light spice, and blueberry flavors to this as well. A little bit thin on the body.
