Cask at the Bulls Head, Croydon. It pours clear amber with a medium off-white head. The nose is wood, earth, spice and hint of caramel. The taste is wood, leather, earth, some spice, decent bitterness, leaf and just a touch of caramel to balance it out with a long, dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Actually quite lively for cask. A much more accomplished brew than there other first offerings. Well balanced. Good stuff.

Cask at The Grape and Grain, Crystal Palace. Pours a dark amber colour with a slightly off-white head. Aroma hold a touch of sweat and malts. Medium body, mild carbonation. Bready, caramel maltiness initially, then some fruity notes kick in followed by a light grapefruit in the medium bitter finish. Nice.

Cask handpull at Lord Moon of the Mall Spoons Whitehall. Pale brown lasting beige head. An ok slightly earthy bitter. Nothing good nothing bad just a run of the mill bitter. Which isn’t very bitter.

Not the best bitter I’ve ever tasted. Rather disappointed in actual fact. Had to water it down in a generous lemonade shandy. What a letdown!!
