Nickls (2535) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - MAY 4, 2010
(Old BA rate - growler) Poured with a decent white head that didn’t last too long. Somewhat hazy golden deep orange color. Bit of a fruit aroma, with some citrus hoppiness. Not a whole lot to detect here, and very subtle. Solid hop bitterness, and dry maltiness. A bit of dried fruit in the taste. Thinner MF, and decent carbonation. Bone dry finish. Very drinkable with some good solid ESB qualities, and definitely the dry finish demands another

Growler. Copper hue, slightly hazy, nice white head and lovely carbonation. Nose of dough, ripe fruit with hints of piny hops. Medium, smooth body. Bready malt, ripe fruit and earthy hops are nicely balanced on the palate. Long, earthy finish. Nice session beer.

l1br4r14n (451) - Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA - FEB 20, 2010
Pours a clear amber. Light aroma of malt and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet malt dominated by green grapes. Drinkable, but not quite enjoyable.

5th August 2008. On tap at GBBF. Fruity but slighty acrid dry ESB. Not actuallt that bitter. Drinkable if unremarkable.

Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - AUG 18, 2009
Growler, drank the whole dam thing too. Pours an amber body with a tan head. Bitter earth y tones, a lighter dried fruit sweetness with a subtle note of toffee and caramel. Decent.

drtth (30) - Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2009
Almost burnt orange and very clear. Thin head gone fairly soon. Aroma has caramel and light toffee and spicy hops. Flavor begins with malt caramel and toffee flavor. Then the spicy hops appear. The finish is softly bitter, spicy and dry. Good beer and very easy to drink.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 30, 2009
Pale amber with a small white head. Fruity aroma with a hint of green apple. Sweet and fruity flavour.

jmm635 (1009) - Havertown, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 24, 2009
Poured amber in color with an orange hue. Average sized sticky white head with good lacing. Sort of a sweet aroma, moderate amount of hops. Similar taste. Had this on cask so it was very soft on the palate, low carbonation, smooth and very easy to drink. Nothing special, but keep ’em flowing!

dmac (6267) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUL 2, 2009
Growler from Spirits RB. Pours a good looking orange/amber with an average to large white fluffy head. Aroma is grassy, tangerine and baby aspirin. Flavor still carries that baby aspirin and tangerine combo and add in some spoiling raw dough. Not very good.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2011 Location: On tap at the Ginger Man in NYC, 4.5 oz glass as part of a flight, 6/27/09

Aroma: A nice sweet nose to it, some sweet malts, a touch of caramel apple smell
Appearance: Amber/orange color, a nice looking beer
Flavor: A decent flavor, but it just seemed to be missing a bit to me
Palate: An alright palate, but a touch watery, decent
Overall Impression: I thought this one was alright, but not great, probably my least favorite or the 4 beers in my flight. 6/3/5/2/12

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 11/22/11

Aroma: The nose is malty and grainy, some caramel malts, and a little apple
Appearance: Pours a caramel-orange color with a huge beige head, and lots of lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, a little sourness, the bitterness is fairly minimal
Palate: The body is light-medium, the mouthfeel is a touch slippery, and it has average carbonation
Overall Impression: The bottled sampling of this beer didn’t really improve my impression much. It is still kind of a mediocre beer. I didn’t love it. It is drinkable, but there is just something about the feel that doesn’t quite work as well as one might hope. Eh... 5/3/6/2/12
