3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Scent has a odor of sauerkraut. Nice carbonation. The yeast gives off a slight Leamon flavor. Not a bad beer. Would recommend other more well known panics if you are looking for a truly sour beer. This is a nice entry level beer in th sour category. Thanks ben4321
Hmmm... No rating in 3 years for this beer.
Clear garnet body with virtually no head.
Aroma is acetic, fruit & funk.
The flavor has the acetic acid, some fruit but not much else. A shot of vinaigrette in a glass of wine mixed with water.
Watery. alexsdad06 (10430) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 6, 2013
22 oz. bottle shared by b3shine. Pours a hazy brown with a hint of red and a small bubbly head. The aroma has caramel, tart fruits, cherry, wood and light funk. The flavor has sweet caramel, tart fruits and wood. Fairly mild overall. phaleslu (10267) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 5, 2013
22 oz. bottle shared by b3shine- thanks again, Beau! Pours a hazy reddish color with an off-white ring for a head. It smells old, with dusty, musty notes right away, dried fruits, oaky funk, bread, and caramel and brown sugar sweetness. The flavor has more tartness, with plenty of mixed tropical and tart citrus fruits, sweet malts, and sugar. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, tart mouthfeel and low carbonation. Very odd sour. Not bad, but different. b3shine (8874) - Indiana, USA - APR 4, 2013
Bomber to snifter (shared with. The group by me; thanks jtclockwork). Looks good for the style; a fairly opaque brown with off-white lacing. Smells solid too; tart, semi-sweet, and a touch of malt and funk. Average on the palate. Fairly simple, but enjoyable. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - JAN 20, 2013

22oz bottle pours a clear bronze with some creamy white head. Nose is malt vinegar, bitter greens, a little chocolate, some grapefruit. Flavor is tart and sweet, raspberry vinaigrette, apples, malt, a little pine. Medium bodied, tart finish. Decent. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JAN 13, 2013
hazy chestnut with oily head, large bubbled cream head. Nose is light fruit, nutty chocolate, abbey quad spices and malt profile. Flavor is more oily, fatty, lightly sour with hints of malt, abbey dubbel most reminiscent. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 12, 2013
651mL thanks to nimbleprop. Pours a clear, deep red, coffee foam. Sticky lacing. Nose is sugar, mildly hoppy, sticky candy, some mold, paper. Taste is very nice: sweet and spicy blend, oily, lactic, savory butter and rendered fat. Palate is oily, fatty, dense. Very nice albeit strange Flemish red attempt. Enjoyable. Hazy red brown pour with a thin white head. Strong soy sauce aroma with tons of smoke and black pepper. Flavor is similar. Sour soy sauce smoke and black pepper. Not very good. hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Bottle… Cloudy burnt-orange ale with a mid-sized, fluffy, beige head. The aroma is a jumble of big-time caramel, acetic acid, lightly funky wet leather and black cherries. Medium-bodied with laid-back carbonation. Gobs of sweet caramel malt in the flavor – too much. There is a nice, fruity, acidic undercurrent running through this, but the caramel sweetness is layered too heavily upon it. Finishes caramely, fruity and sweet-tangy.
