Cask days 2011. My wife bought this one, and im glad she did. Nice spicy nose, pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg cloves. But it was all well balanced and somewhat subtle. The balance was great, the finish was biscuity sweet. Wow, i was very impressed. cfrancis (3535) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 28, 2012
One of the better pumpkin beers. More of an amber first with nutmeg and spices. Pours dark brown with orange highlights.

Cask at Vankleek Hill’s/Beau’s Oktoberfest. Opaque orange, no head. Smell is pumpkin, cloves, cinnamon. Taste is pumpkin and tons of spices: cloves, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, I can almost taste the pie itself. Light herbal, and somewhat citrusy bitterness. Interesting lingering spicy notes. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel. An excellent pumpkin ale! mnurda (1289) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 18, 2011
On tap at the bank street location. Unreal aroma on this one. It makes the beer. Great pumpkin taste. Really liked this one italarican (1549) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 9, 2012
On tap at the brewpub (Bank St.). There seems to be wide score variation here, but I’m on the side that enjoyed this. Sprinkles of pumpkin seasoning on the head is sort of cheating, but whatever. Spicy, chai tea aroma. Pumpkin pie sweetness in the flavor. The tea spiciness to it is nice.

2010-10-13. Crisp dark orange amber body with a modest beige head. Lovely spicy aroma with prominent nutmeg announces itself a good distance from the glass. 7+ The flavour is surprisingly mild after being enticed by the fullness of the aroma. Strong fruity pumpkin character, but the spices are very secondary, lacking the oomph of the aroma. The spice does grow a bit as it warms but is still relatively mild. Smooth average plus bodied palate is lightly carbonated. Enjoyable but does not quite live up to the promise of the aroma. On tap at the brewpub. Ottawa Brewpub. Arrived with a nice size creamy head. Has a dark amber colour. Good lacing. A bit spicy mouthfeel. Came with some cinnamon sprinkled on top, maybe too much seeing as it’s the only aroma I got at first. Pumpkin flavours for sure as well as nutmeg, spices. Pretty good pumpkin ale, happy to have tried for my birthday (well, early bday drink).

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. Served with a dash of pumpkin spices. In aroma, intense sweet pumpkin spices, quite nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet caramel malt with light spices, lingering a bit. Overall, not bad. On tap at Bank street location, Oct. 5, 2011, as The Pumpkin. October 28, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. Cloudy amber-orange with a decent foamy off-white head. Smells like a solid but not amazing pumkin ale - sweet bready malt backbone, plenty of nutmeg and cinnamon; a bit sweet, hard to judge the alcohol from the aroma. Taste follows, but a little papery and dry, a bit too much spice - like cinnamon dust, it was almost gritty (7-). Average body, astringent, mildly carbonated, finishes very quickly - would like to rate it higher, but just okay, ultimately.
