Subtle hop notes balanced by a light body and hints of honey make this a refreshingly crisp light blonde ale; an easy drinking favourite.

BreWedge (534) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - APR 20, 2013
On tap @ Clocktower Pub Ottawa. Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aromas were a nice blend of honey and biscuit. Tastes were very reflective of aroma but with some grain as well. Best descriptor would be like eating a graham cracker but without the sweetness. Light bodied and crisp with a short finish. I really enjoyed this beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy

Can: Poured a hazy golden color Kolsch with a nice white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of cereal notes with light faint sweet notes is enticing enough for the style. Taste is a nice mix cereal notes with some final sweet notes and some light subtle buttery notes. Body is above average for the style with good carbonation. Easily drinkable even though it is a bit off from the style guideline.

malt and honey nose with some citus. Some malt and wheat taste in mouth , with a bit of a biscuitty aftertaste. Bitterness comes at the end, well balanced, ok beer

VertBaconStrips (2389) - Blerkablerka, VENEZUELA - OCT 25, 2009
On tap at the Byward Market in May ’09. Good sweetness, light bread, not much else for aroma. Light gold, clear, meh. Very thick for a kolsch, very thick and rich but I don’t care. Bready sweetness, warm apple pie (very mild one). Nice light carbonation, almost medium bodied, sweet malt finish. Not sure at what point I was fairly toasted...

Pint at the brewpub. Golden yellow color. Nice taste, not too light. Crisp, refreshing on a hot summer day. Good product.

On tap at Glebe brewpub location. Pint has an inch thick of creamy head, with a dark golden copper colour. Medium carbonation. Prett dirty lacing. Aromas are light malts. Flavours are sweet, citrus tartiness. Well balanced hops and malts. A bit grassy. Stronger orange taste. Mouthfeel is creamy and malty. More hoppy in the finish. Easy drinking any time kinda brew. Above average light beer.

Originally rated January 2006. Poured a golden colour with slight amber in it. The head was white and did not have much retention, nor lacing. Good fruity nose, specially light fruit, with undertones of grapefruit. Nice smooth taste with a grainy finish and some bitterness. Also, mild fruitness was found in the aftertaste, with some grapefruit and grain malts. Kind of creamy mouthfeel. Great session brew that was refreshing with a nice pleasant taste.

Out of the can, poured a medium gold, filtered/clear with a tall white head that faded after a few minutes. I got notes of grainy cereal malt, cracker, and honey. On the palate, replays of sweet cereal malt, with the addition of lemon/lemon rind. Good carbonation, slight sweetness (as advertised on the can) but it doesn’t linger on too long - still I wouldn’t crush this one like other Kolsch’s.

Pours a hazy gold with a small white ring. Aroma is soft straw grains. Taste is bready grain. After coming back from Germany this is lacking
