Amber with a tan, thin, lacy, lasting head. Smells of citrus hops and grass, toasted malt with light cinnamon and nut, with a certain perfume hint that lasts. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes of sweet caramel and biscuit but this is mild to the grass and citrus presence that ends with a dry grassy finish. Maybe a little too hoppy for a bock reminded me more of an American Pale Ale. Enjoyed this one at the Glebe location on tap. Poured a clean amber colour with a small white cap and decent lacing. The nose was spicy with hints of cinnamon. The caramel malt did come out eventually. Medium-bodied with a slight dry mouthfeel. The taste was malty with some hop that came out in the finish. Quite a light maibock that is nice and refreshing for these nice warmer May days. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 6, 2012
May 10/12. Pint at the Vanier location. Clear, fairly deep amber, white rim. Fruity, a little diacetyl, reasonable burnt sugar and bread crust, some decent noble hop character; dry with reasonable bitterness and a toffee, Saaz hop finish. Nose is tight (cold), some noble hops, some decent toast and light brown sugar. rejtable (2690) - Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2012
On tap in Market location. Pours light copper with thin head, great lacing. Sweet malt like caramel up front with some earthiness in the middle and some cereal, maybe bisicuity. Finish has a good bitterness to it. Strong carbonation, little bit creamy in the mouth. Not bad. Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 8, 2012
