jamestulloch (4261) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 5, 2017
Keg at Clockwork Beer Company. Hazy golden body with a thick white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of grain, apple peel and biscuit. Flavour of biscuit, pine and a citrus finish. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft fizz. Pretty good, but it could do with a bit more fizz.

Tasted this at the Milngavie Beer Festival on the 2nd September 2017. Keg dispense. Opaque gold in colour with a thin white head. Strong hoppy aroma with fresh grass notes much in evidence. Thin resiny mouthfeel and excellent lacing. Pale malt gives a robust digestive biscuit backbone which remains lurking in the background. Juicy notes of lychees present in the bitter hoppy aftertaste. Dry citrus notes come through in the bitter hoppy but citric finish. A decent American Pale Ale.

The taste is bitter, piney, resin, hay, straw, citrus peel, soap and varnish with a lingering bitter finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Nice bitterness. Pretty alright.

Cask, half pint at the Clockwork brewpub. Clear copper coloured body with a brownish shade. Thin,off-white layer. Malt-hoppy nose, on the fruity side. Hops up front to the taste buds joined by dried fruits. Bitter tail. Oliy palate. Medium bodied. Maybe the best of the five Clockwork brews (Glasgow, 12.04.2012).
