Bright and clean amber color. Nice penetrating aroma, sour cider, hint of alcohol. Thick body, sweet, not syrupy; there is a note behind the cider, probably the oak; it's a bit too boozy though. A few things going on there, but not coming together.
375mL bottle, pours a clear caramel colour. Aroma brings out caramelized brown sugar, toffee, and caramel. Flavour is very sweet, with caramelized brow sugar, caramel, toffee, and light oak. Incredibly complex, with a wonderful blend of caramelized apples and brown sugar. Phenomenal. harrisoni (19553) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAR 18, 2012

Bright pinkish-amber colour. I like the depth of the sugary malts, with a nice oaky note. It's fruity, it's has a nice vinous character. For me, it's fruity, has a spicy alcohol finish with a lot of oak. Delicious.

Bottle - Sweet cooked Apple and lots of caramel. Clear dark gold. Cooked Apple, red peel and some cranberry? Nice. brokensail (16689) - Dublin, California, USA - JAN 7, 2013
Dark caramel colored pour with nice legs and great clarity. Aroma is rich, sweet, apple, almost apple pie-like. Amazing caramel aroma and sweetness, vanilla, a hint of butterscotch, dark fruit, and a subtle apple tartness. The flavor is amazingly sweet with tons of apple, sugar, vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch notes. Hints of oak, some dark fruit, subtle tartness, and mild alcohol on the finish. Amazing stuff. Thanks, Chris! Lubiere (14262) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 1, 2006
Darker than Pomme de Glace, with a nice cooked compote aroam, some woody notes. Good sweet apples, caramelized in character, wooden notes, with apricot jam notes. Rich and smooth alcohol. At Salon des Vins et Spiritueux de Montréal, March 25 2006. j12601 (13304) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - FEB 16, 2011
Pouring at Le Mondial des Cidres Glaces. Pours a tawny amber. Warm brandy, oak and apples on the nose. Long and sweet with lingering acid notes. Smooth, but there’s enough of an acidic edge about it to be interesting. Long tart acid and warm alcohol on the finish. 77ships (11482) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2014
375 ml. bottle shared by Kraddel during the (Ice) Cider/Perry tasting @ Barely Legal Tasting Room. 2012 Vintage. Bottle nr. 6789. Thank you! Sampled. Gorgeous label. Tasted side-by-side with the non-BA version aka “Verger St-Denis Pomme de Glace”. Vintages were different. 2010 vs. 2012. Ice Cider doesn’t change that much with aging I have been told. Pours way, way darker than non-BA version, dark caramel amber. Light sherry in the nose, warming syrup de Liège, lots of sugar, oak; Taste is sweet, warming, apple syrup, syrup de Liège, brown sugar, sherry. Thick, oily, nicely warming. Amazing on its own, I preferred the non-BA version which I felt had more nuances & this was more of a straight-forward flavour.
