This beer will be as ridiculous as the name implies. It’s inspired by a scene from "7 Days in Hell," an equally ridiculous short film.

On tap @ Chuck’s CD. Pours clear medium golden with thin lacy white head. Aroma is a load of hops - sharply piney and bright up front, floral and lightly tropical fruits on the back. Taste is likewise - very hoppy with big grassy and pine notes, much lighter floral citrusy notes on the back. The malt and accompanying sweetness shows really restrained here, given the ~10% abv. Not bad at all, but given Cloudburst’s mastery of IPAs I expected more here.

Draft at SB. Pours a cloudy bright medium gold with a loose and sudsy white head. Big tangy tropical citric nose, lots of pineapple, mango, grapefruit, and orange. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel on the mid palate. Tons of tropical and citric fruits washing around, nicely balanced acidity with powerful bite to it--just not off-putting at all. Hides the ABV. Long tangy finish. Could easily hit this over and over and get in trouble.

Tap. Meh. Cloudy gold. Tamest "triple IPA" I’ve ever had. Tasted the same as the Rhythm Method. Slightly citrusy. Creamy. Not powerfully hopped or alcoholic. Meh.

1/2 at the brewery. Pours thick yellow. Smells of socks, mushrooms and soap. Funky. Huge thick mouthfeel, edges of citrus and honey. Loads going on in there, hard to pin down. Not loving it but respecting it, massively.

Noble Fir, Seattle. Heavy white cream, thick mostly clear dark orange body. Creamy thick fruit on aroma, some lactic. Rather sharp body, nice bitterness. Some coffee-chocolate malts that are fairly dominant. Some alcohol on the nose. Clean body but the flavors are rather muddled. No flaws but I’m not getting much character from this. Almost too light of body, and too light of flavors, particularly hops.

Very aggressive iiipa. However a bit thin in body in my opinion. Grassy and hints of melon. Lots of resin on the backend.

Deep Throat and Swedish Prison Orgy back to back. A typical day for me. Where else but Cloudburst!? Congrats on getting this term printed in the Seattle Times. You guys might be the only ones able to pull that off. Also, congrats on making an incredible triple IPA. A complete standout. Draft 10 oz at Cloudburst. Lighter, clean golden pour with a lasting foam head. Aroma explodes with fresh citrus like hops. Creamy, juicy grapefruit and other citrus fruit, with a subtle, but lingering hop bitterness. A super version of a style these guys have mastered in their young existence. A triple IPA that is full pint worthy, and then maybe another after that. Awesome triple here.
