COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Let’s Go Away for a while. Our president is an illiterate, narcissistic, xenophobic sociopath with the fragile temperament of a three-year-old. We’ve had one of the wettest, grayest, coldest winters in PNW history. Traffic has been an atrocious time-suck and public transportation leaves much to be desired. The cost of living is getting obscene and is still rising. And the Seahawks might trade Richard Sherman. FUCK IT. WE NEED TO GET AWAY.

...but we can’t. So we brewed an IPA with all Australian and New Zealand hops, because we want to get there. It’s light and sunny, with massive floral and tropical notes. Close your eyes and go to your happy place.

Hops: Ella, Kohatu, Rakau, Galaxy, Nelson Sauvin, and Motueka.

On tap @ No Anchor. Pours hazy bright yellow orange with very thin lacy white head. Aroma is big dry citrusy hops, earthy malt. Taste is likewise - big dry spicy rye malt, lightly juicy and zesty citrus hops. Great flavors, I didn’t find this as balanced as some other recent Cloudburst IPAs.

Cloudburst, Seattle. Lacing thin white cream. Very creamy yellow-orange. Grassy, green hop. Vegetal. SMooth body, light at first but backloads bitterness and flavor very well. Odd malt back, hard to describe. A little waxy. Grew on me. Quite tasty.

Tap. Cloudy yellow and no head. Aroma of lemon. Flavor is tame. Light citrus, lemon, some tropical notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Light malt. Kind of underwhelming.

New IPA Wednesday.  The greatest day designation since Taco Tuesday.  Thanks to this fine brewery for the beer!  Draft pour pint at Cloudburst.  Thick tang orange pour with a ton of cream foam head.  Celebrating the Mariners 2nd homerun of the year.  Mitch! Grain heavy aroma.  Straw and fruity hops.  Flavor has a bit of a plastic element to it.  A little odd, and uncharacteristic, though in no way unpleasant.  Cream heavy.  Oranges.  Melon.  Unique hop profile. Nutty malt background.  Flavorful, and truly different.

Draft pour at brewery, light golden clouds pour. Thin head. Flavor is different can’t say I have had to many hops from down under. Floral flavors and citrus.

Draft at SB. Pours a murky bright medium gold, just seems to glow in the glass. Creamy dense head off off-white suds that sticks around. Bright tangy nose, lots of passionfruit and guava and papaya. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Lightly toasted caramel under a big roll of tropical fruits on the mid palate. Finish just walks right off a cliff, no aftertaste at all and super dry. I think if the finish were a bit more quenching, then this could be a serious world-beater.
