Bottle from a bottle swap, thanks Idealpint!

Again not a great aging beer. The fruitiness is there though rather as a memory of what this beer used to be. Sweet and hoppy. Smooth

330ml bottle thanks to Jashiu. Drunk on 12th march 2017 so not so fresh and generally I shouldn’t rate it but I think it’s worth mentioning that even ageing this beer is still good and enjoyable and definitely not easy to achieve in such style. In v8 comparing to v6 and v7 bitterness was too heavy for me.

Bottle at home. A lovely cloudy appearance, lots of tropical fruit on the nose and plenty of them to taste in the beer. It’s a very rich and thick beer and one that has to be experienced, but perhaps it was a bit too rich for me; hence the score.

Bottle from Bottledog. Colour is bright amber orange, with a medium foam white head. Nose is lovely. Lots of fresh mango and guava, menthol hop, minerals, grapefruit peel, orange peel, musty grain, musty ripe tropical fruit, pine, slight funk. Taste is orange and grapefruit citrus peel, pine, menthol, fresh mango, guava, minerals. Finish is very bitter citrus peel, with lingering grapefruit and pine, and then menthol. Guy in the shop told me the v9 was much better. He was wrong.

Bottle from Brewdog Castlegate. Hazy gold and ginger orange. Big peach nose with yeast and strawberry. Tastes of deliciously smooth barley sugar peach followed up with a grapefruit hop sting bringing body and punch. It has an almost viscous oily smooth body with a sharp moderate sparkle. This is every bit as good as folk have said. Absolutely fantastic.
