Can from hop burns and black. Pours light yellow, one finger lasting foamy head. Somewhat hazy, high apparent carbonation. Some coriander/white pepper spice aroma. fairly bright citric in the mouth. Medium palate with a touch of yeast/spice/wheat, though not as much as i'd expect from a saison. Light, grassy and minerally drying finish with light to moderate bitterness. Very, very easy drinking - several of these in the hot would be easy. Good stuff. Atypical saison.

JackMandarin (427) - Aberdour, SCOTLAND - AUG 28, 2017
Can from Bridgend Services, Freuchie. Pours with a light haze. Pale lemon gold. Bright, fluffy but quickly dissipating head. Lemon zest and juice on the aroma. Hay. Spicy yeast character. A little savoury, herbal note. Very light wet stone. Gentle musk. Taste has more lemon character up front. A little candy sweetness. Light grapefruit pith. The yeast offers up some nice estery action. Tea bread and Rich Tea biscuit malt. Foamy carbonation. Medium to light mouthfeel bolster a little by the fizz. Tangy, citrus and yesty spice finish. Tasty. Refreshing. Could easily knock back a few of these in the sun.

July 2017 - Can shared at Leighton’s. Many thanks to Mr T. As ’Cloudwater MF Grisette El Dorado’, 4.4%. Pours a light yellow shade, opaque with a foamy white head. Aroma is chalky, grapefruit and lemon. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste follows aroma – lemongrass, chalky and crisp, light wheat, mixed grains and sugars. Very drinkable. Really hazy and pale color with soapy white head. Looks like fresh squeezed lemon juice. Aroma is citrusy, slightly yeasty and floral. Taste is quite light, citrusy, a bit grainy, really balanced, only slightly bitter on the finish with citrusy hop notes and lemon peel. Medium body and carbonation. Really easy drinking beer with subtle flavors.
