Level 42 Bottleshare. Thanks to Wingman man for the can. Light haze on this gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth malts mildly sweet, mild lager character. Spicy floral hop. Modest Mandarina citrus. Dry finish brings some estery sweetness. Okay.

20/IX/17 - 44cl can @ Cloudwater Terrace Tasting (home) - BB: XII/2017, P: 10817 (2017-1538) Thanks to ElManana+1 for sharing the can!

Clear blond beer, small creamy white head, little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: pretty fruity, bit sweet, malty, some caramel, some tropical fruits, bit oxidised. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: some citrus, pretty bitter, tropical fruits, sweet malts, grains, some hay. Aftertaste: cow fodder, grains, pretty bitter, some citrus, dry finish. Very decent pilsener, hops coming through subtle but nice!

Can 440ml (Gonzo, BBE 12/2017)

Slightly hazy yellow colour, good white head. Aroma has rubber band, lemon peel and grains. Light to medium-bodied. Pils malty flavour is a bit grainy and has mild mandarin and pear fruityness. Not very bitter but drinkability is good. (Can says WLP830, Mandarina Bavaria in aroma and Pilgrim Alpha in bittering).

Lovely texture floral taste good carbonation with a lovely, lush, lasting head. But the taste is fairly stale for a premium lager. None of the fun liveliness I expect to find in the best examples of the style.

August 2017 - Can shared at One Canada Square. Big thanks to Dave for this. As 'Cloudwater Pilsner Mandarina Bavaria', 5.4%. Pale golden yellow, clear with a foamy off-white head that leaves light lacing. Aroma is dried citrus, citrus peel, musty lemongrass and chalk. Body is light and frothy with tingly carbonation. Taste is floral, light cracker-like malt, resinous with a dusty dry finish. Quite nice. I'm not usually a big lager fan but this is one of the better ones I've had. (7-4-6-3-15=3.5)

440 ml can. Pours a nearly clear straw-yellow with a white head. The aroma is lightly to medium malty and lightly hoppy with notes of grains, some biscuit, hay, grass, flowers and hints of fruits (apples and tangerines). Medium body with a low to medium carbonation, a light to medium bitterness and a very light sweetness. The flavor is medium malty with grains, bread and biscuit and some crisp hops - grass, hay, some citric notes. Finishes with a light hoppy bitterness and some citrus fruits.

Pours hazy golden with fairly tall white head. Aroma of bread, malts, citrus, slight hay. Taste is mildly malt sweet up front followed by a funky bitter finish. Not style typical per se... Light and sticky body with average carbonation.
