[ As Cloudwater Autumn Range - Porter ].
Clear dark black brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, grapefruit, citrus - fruity, dark malt, hoppy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. IMO. very Black IPA ish !! [20151005]

Bottle from Rehills of Jesmond. Pours mahogany with a nice frothy cream head. Light roasty coffee aroma. The taste has roasty malts, coffee, toast and earthy notes. Quite a woody finish with a little pine. Nice.

Taste of rich dark malts, soft smoky, smoke not overdone, roasted malts, bitter hops on top, no alcohol, some bitter dark chocolate, bitter zest there but not fruity
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, fairly bitter. Finish is quite dry, bitter dark chocolate, soft smoky, bitter zest
Overall - Good quite smoky porter

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Inky black with a thin tan head. It has a roasted malt, chocolate and oak flavour with leather, vanilla and burnt toast on the smooth roasted finish. Excellent! Smooth, easy drinking with a hint of smoked malt. Hops (Bittering): Challenger; Hops (Aroma): Wilamette, Admiral, Citra, Simcoe; Malt: Best Ale, Clear Choice Pale, Roast Barley, Flaked Torrefied Barley, Colour 400 Crystal, Chocolate, Smoked, Black
