22oz bottle purchased in Jacksonville FL. Amber pour with an aroma of caramel malt and oats. Hops and alcohol flavor. Tasty but a little rough. Maybe the recipe needs some polishing. I have had a few amber oat beers and I enjoy the concept. I particularly enjoy Three Heads Loopy, which is half of this creation. SSSteve (4006) - - AUG 11, 2013
bottle. cloudy dark amber with a whipped tan head. bready, caramel, pine aroma. chalky, chewy, full bodied, creamy from oatmeal, warming from abv. flavor is sweet with caramel. lots of hops with fruity, piney, candy notes. finishes big and sweet. lots hard candy fruity notes. bubbleflubber (2231) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - AUG 4, 2013
What an awesome Impy Amber! Pours a gorgeous amber into the glass, with a light eggshell head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose is of caramel and strawberry candies... yummy! Flavors are lovely, of sweet caramel and toffee, light biscuit flour and toast, pine resin, and finishing with a peppering toffee bitter, showing just a hint of alcohol. The round body and oily mouthfeel is tempered wonderfully in the balance of malt sweetness, alcohol heat and peppered bitters. Superb Impy Amber Red here! Tasty, complex and substantive, sweet and comforting, this provides a nice quaff to be enjoyed over and over again. camborne (656) - Hopkins, Minnesota, USA - JUL 14, 2013
Solid caramel nose, malt taste up first with nice hop balance. Some nice fruit present also. Smooth finish. Great price

Flavor is heavy hops and bitterness, medium fruity esters, spicy and peppery alcohol with sweet malt and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation. ben4321 (6607) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2013

Aroma: The aroma is sweet malts, caramel, toffee, butterscotch, and mild hops
Appearance: Pours a dark reddish color with a medium beige head and some sticky lace
Flavor: The taste is medium-plus sweet, with some moderate bitterness coming later on
Palate: The body is medium-full, it has a sticky finish, some heat, and a dry finish
Ironically, I haven’t seen this one around NYC (that I can recall at least), but I did stumble across it in Texas and figure I’d give it a shot.
This is a pretty solid beer, it leans malty, especially in the nose, but some hops do come through later on. It wasn’t a favorite for me, but its solid.
Thick creamy head, not sure how a few here got no head. Looks like orange motor oil. citrus with some bitter hops at the end. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Bomber. Big rich beer. Hazy rusty color, no head. Full body, malty but not sweet -- good balance with the hops. A good strong full beer.
