Pours a clear deep amber almost copper color with as huge fluffy off white head that persists forever. Smells of spicy earthy piney hops with a solid bready caramel and brown sugar backbone. The flavor is malty and sweet with a bit of a bitter mineral bite to it. A fair amount of earthy spicy hop flavor cuts through the malty sweetness to provide some balance. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a sweet bubbly mouthfeel. Solid drinker with an obvious English influence. I enjoyed it. travita (5008) - Dallas, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2012
Bottle. The look is a beige colored head, clear, and amber in colored. The smell is caramel, toffee, malts, hops, fruit, and pine. The taste is hops, pine, fruits, caramel, and ok bitterness. jkwalking05 (4745) - Arlington, Texas, USA - DEC 26, 2012

Bottle, as pictured. Pours a dark and hazy mahogany brown-red. Minimal head. Has a barleywine feel to it, very smooth and easy to drink. Caramel, toffee. Good beer.

Bomber. Red brown and hazy with a frothy tan head. Sticky lacing. Some appealing over ripe fruit in the aroma with yeast and bread. Alcohol is tasted early and brings quick warming. Fruit is complex and fairly big in the flavor. Dark, passion, and peaches. I taste occasional roasted notes and yeast. This is a softer version of many barley wines. Quite tasty. pablothirteen (23) - - DEC 13, 2012
Dark red color, full taste. Slight bitterness.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks eyes_wide_shut and YK23. Clear deep reddish amber. Aroma of somewhat stale hops, a bit piney and resinous and quite a bit of caramelly malt. Flavor of stale hops, caramel, and a bitter finish, a bit spicy. Medium to full-bodied. Past its prime. kidmartinek (5007) - austin, Texas, USA - DEC 11, 2012
Cloudy, haze amber/brown with sediment and a lasting 1 inch dirty head. Just an immaculate appearance. Aroma is strong and balanced between bitter hoppiness and malti sweetness. Flavor is 60/40 hop/malt balance... aromatic and bittersweet. Palate is good but a little sedimentary, so might throw you off. The aftertaste is a little sweet and has an oatmeal character. A great beer albeit strange brew. Tmoney99 (14975) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 10, 2012
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were exceeded.
