Bomber. Pours a clear amber with a medium frothy off white head leving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a bready malt, raisin, and licorice. Thin mouthfeel with a sweet vanilla malt and light resin hops with lingering bitter finish. Easy to drink hiding alcohol well, a very impressive American strong ale from Clown Shoes. Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured clear dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy citrus & toasted malt aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations were exceeded. crossovert (14128) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 14, 2013

"Amber is on the label yes, but 10% = definitely a strong ale. The cool thing about this brew is that even though it was Imperial in every way, it didn’t lose the carmel toffee malt and citrus hop balance, just amplified it. Would love to have this brewery fresh. This sample was two months old and was surprisingly good. I didn’t know it was 10% til after...figured 7.5-8% from the beer itself."
