Bottle from Mom's Liquor Cabinet. Brown pour pour with a tan head. Aroma is a piece of burned toast. Taste is more burn, toasted caramel, and bad spice.
22oz bottle: this one pours a clear, dark amber color. There was a small light tan head that didnít linger very long. Interesting nose. Molasses, a touch boozy, bready, toasted malts and some faint coffee and roasted malts. The taste is good, and a little interesting. "Amber is on the label yes, but 10% = definitely a strong ale. The cool thing about this brew is that even though it was Imperial in every way, it didnít lose the carmel toffee malt and citrus hop balance, just amplified it. Would love to have this brewery fresh. This sample was two months old and was surprisingly good. I didnít know it was 10% til after...figured 7.5-8% from the beer itself."

Appearance: Pours an opaque, rust-toned body with a ill-formed, short-lived, just off-white head. No real lace accumulation.
Smell: Sweet-scented, well-toasted, bready, and simply crackling with cooked brown sugar. Wafting, stinging alcohol all the while. Hoppy, poppy notes of pine, pithy citrus peels, and shredded mint leaf.
Taste: Toasted bread, toasted nuts, and big, sweet gulp of brown sugar linking to a seer of alcohol. Bold crystal malt quality. Itís plenty sweet and sugary, but, thereís alot of resiny bitterness, hot alcohol, citric orange pinches to balance it out. Even a sliver of mint. Moderate bitterness. Sugary, spicy, bitter, and a bit boozy on the bitter, heated finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Itíll do.

Pours a clear reddish brown with a foamy white head. Aroma of syrupy malt. Taste is sweet followed by a coconut like flavor balanced with slight hops and alcohol burn. Very well refined. Strong but drinkable. Nice
