Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a black color with an average to large frothy brown head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted coffee, chocolate, vanilla wood and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy toasted chocolate malt and bourbon woody flavor with a heavy dark sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate to long duration. Full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a standout beer. crossovert (13909) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 14, 2013
Big boozy and sweet beer but with a decent amount of roast/smoke element to it. DocLock (11048) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 14, 2014

22 oz bottle shared with the group. Pours very dark brown to black in color with a small creamy beige head. The aroma and flavor have dark roasted malt, dark chocolate, light smoke, wood, mild barrel notes, vanilla, some earthy hops and some alcohol. I have enjoyed all of the Imperial stouts from Clown Shoes. MartinT (10036) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 12, 2013
My Bottom Line:DrSilverworm (9672) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 17, 2013
Biscuity coffee bean angles evolve into roastiness and raisins before alcohol heat adds an edge to this tight Imperial Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the darkest brown.
-Caramelized sugars surge in the second half.
-Oatmeal-like cereal flavors add depth.
-Hop resins meet up with roasted malts in the finish.
-This is a nice dessert brew from aroma to finish.
22oz bottle, shared by alexsdad06. Bottled 5/2012. Black color. Thin khaki head, light brown. Loose bits and ropes of lace. Roast, coffee in the nose. Nice brownie, vanilla, light spice, light smoke. Medium body. Softer, smoother carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Not as chewy as most. Moderate bitter taste. Good very roasty malt, light burnt, light coffee. Hint of molasses.

Bomber to taster (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; an opaque dark cola with ample beige lacing. Smells solid; dark, roasty, and a bit boozy. Tastes like it smells, only more balanced. Nce and smooth on the palate. Good beer!
