Very nice aroma and appearance. Love the almost carmel looking head. Nice coffee taste at first, though a strong bourbon after taste is a little to overpowering for my taste. MrBunn (2867) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2014
Bomber with much thanks to SVD. Pours a deep brown with an enticing tan head and aromas of charcoal, cream, dark fruit & persimmon. Flavor has charcoal, whiskey, coffee, leather, a little bit of prune and some anise. Pushes warm across the palate with ABV warmth and finishes a little rough around the edges. Wondering what this would do with some age to see if it smooths out a bit. Jimsal27 (296) - New York, USA - JAN 2, 2014
Bottle to glass. Weak aroma some alcohol, malt, leather. Taste chocolate, roast, malt. Alcohol is hidden well for 12%. Medium body and carbonation. Slight bitter finish. Really smooth and drinkable. Hope to see this in my store again. Definitely will keep a few on hand. Defreni (3325) - Husum, DENMARK - JAN 1, 2014
Flaske: Kulsort olieret øl med et lille skumhoved. Duft af chokolade og malt med en god del vanilie. Smagen lever næsten op til duften. Meget drikbar chokoladestout. darb85 (310) - Canton, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2013

Bottle. Pours black with very little head. Nearly zero carbonation with coffee aroma. Coffee and chocolate flavors. Very substantial.

Coffee, woody, alcohol, toast. This is a pretty decent beer that I drank one time. Yep. mrmartin (786) - New York, New York, USA - DEC 27, 2013
Brown pour with thin tan head.
Coffee and roasted malts
Was slightly disappointed in this one would like to taste an aged one. harrymel (1551) - Spokane, Washington, USA - DEC 17, 2013
Pours beautifully black with a finger of mocha foam which falls to a central cap and rim of the same. Blasts me with cocoa, milk chocolate, coffee, some burnt sugar. I dig it.
Bitter chocolate, some coffee beans, some roasted malts. Really a well balanced and tasty beverage, wish it was local. It is sweet and bitter and full bodied with low moderate carb and a semi dry finish.
I like this beer substantially. The thing is this: it’s really drinkable, and simple as far as RIS’s go, making it a great go to, unfortunately it’s not in my area, and it’s not special enough to seek out specifically.

Shared with neur0. Had some peanuts just before having this beer- not a good match. Full bodied, a lot of roasted malt throughout.
