It poured inky black, with not much of a tan head which left minimal lacing. The nose was molasses, chocolate and faint wisps of resiny hops. There is a subtle smokiness which blends nicely with the rich, dark flavors (think of a bourbon soaked coffee bean with chocolate). Seriously, it starts off like an adult’s chocolate milk. Rich, smooth with a black patent malt flavor, heavy dark hops, with a hint of maple.

This is a delicious Russian Imperial Stout. Rich and dark with delicious malt and hop character. TheJackalope (30) - Georgia, USA - JUN 3, 2012
What a showing! This stout springs with hops that follow a slow meandering path down the back of the taste buds, only for them to sit and relax for a nice long stay. The gravity is easily held without over reaching. The color is deep with a chocolate foam rim. What a great beer. I just drank this with a friend who runs a beer department of a liquor store and he had originally turned it down, but he says it will be in stock by the end of the week. Great beer. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - APR 6, 2013
From notes. Sampled at screw city beer fest. This is like a a bourbon soaked coffee bean covered in chocolate. Some burnt oats and dark hops round out the balance. I want more. AndyW68 (1541) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - MAR 31, 2013
Great. Dark brown to black with a mocha head. Aroma and taste is choclate and vanille with a little coffee.

On draught. Pours a deep mahogany with a moderate tan head that persists. Nose is dark roast malt and a touch of hops. Taste is bittersweet cocoa and dark chocolate. Very well balanced with a creamy mouth feel and an extremely long finish. Outstanding. drpimento (3572) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 31, 2016
At first with aroma I picked up a little molasses and raisins which aren’t too bad if they’re kept to a minimum. As it turns out, in flavor they were. Actually mostly cocoa, black malt. Super smooth. Barest hint of alcohol. Killer beer. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 28, 2011
UPDATED: APR 12, 2012 Black with big, foamy, chocolate shake head / Mellow nose of cocoa, caramel, and coffee with cream / Medium to full body, chewy, with good balance and some heat on the long, smoky, bitter finish / Flavors of dark roast coffee, caramel, oak, bittersweet chocolate, and weed / Just great. Pours pitch black with a tight mocha brown head. Smells of chocolate hints, a bit of coffee/espresso, a touch of licorice, and a decent bit of alcohol. Tastes of licorice, hints of chocolate and a touch of alcohol, but it is hardly noticeable for its percentage. Medium-bodied with a smooth texture and mild mouth-carbonation, Clown Shoes Blaecorn Unidragon finishes a little bit sticky, a little bit bitter, and with almost no hint of alcohol. dwyerpg (6062) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 19, 2011
Looks and smells decent. Pretty easy to drink. The flavor is a bit sweet and a slight hint of chocolate but really quite tasty.
