Pour a deep espresso brown with solid tan-colored head. Roasty sweet, toasted bread aromas. Rich rich, strong brown ale character up front leading to roasty stout sweetness with subtle woody notes and a slight boozy finish that warms as it goes down. I really enjoy this beer; for the strong flavors, it is still soft and the grains give an excellent body and almost chewiness.
Gator’s b!tc#e$ better be using jimmies after this one!
In short: A whole lot of burnt sugars along with roast and booze. Boring.DocLock (10683) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2013
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed with many months of age on it.
The look: Near-black body topped by a tan ring of foam.
In long: Nose is typical big roasted black beer (burnt cereals, toasted sugars and all) along with distant wood notes. In mouth the beer doesn’t feel so big, crunchy texture, generous carbonation, a mouthfeel that lacks the rich corpulence of a good 10% beer. Taste is brutal. A lot of burnt cereals, a lot of toasted sugars, some booze, dry roasted almonds, light notes of dried dark fruits, timid oak barrels presence. There is the foundation of a good big stout but most flavor elements played second violin, the beer was dominated by roast, sugars and some booze. Not bad, just very very boring. It might be because of the vulgar name but I’ve learned the hard way that if you decide to drink a bottle of Flight Of The Pimp to honor your recently deceased co-worker his family will expel you from the funeral home.
Pours blackish brown with tan head. Nose is oaky bourbon, Molasses, roasty malt. Tastes oaky, with vanilla, molasses, bourbon, roasty dark malt, nuts, hops, and a complex finish. This one is solid. Travlr (24756) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 8, 2013
Bottle. Cloudy maroon brown color, off beige head. Aroma of burnt espresso, dark cocoa. Taste is dark bread, coffee, chocolate. Tasty. Reynolds314 (3450) - Connecticut, USA - SEP 30, 2013
Another good dark beer from clown shoes. This is what they do best, dark, rich malty, and bourbon barrel aged. Nice and well tempered barrel characteristics dont overwhelm the beer. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - AUG 31, 2013

Bottle. Pours deep, dark brown with average, fizzy beige head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is roasted and caramel malts, floral hops, plums, raisins, figs, and light vanilla. Flavor is roast malt forward with supporting dark fruit esters, earthy hops, ash, and light chocolate; dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. snoworsummer (5694) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 11, 2013
From a bomber. Pours almost black opaque with minimal tan head. Tastes smokey and slightly sour, oak, apricots, licorice. Smells like hints of plums and chocolate. ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2013
What a name, huh? Black in color with a medium brown head, its aroma is fairly easy, with soft roasted malts barely owning the nose. Alcohol gently decorates a slightly roasted malt flavor. It’s easy in the mouth, lightened by alcohol but otherwise thick and malty with roasted malts and alcohol rocking the casbah. It’s just so damn smooth! I suppose this is much like what you’d think a strong brown would taste like. Nice. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - FEB 18, 2013

Pours a very dark brown with a small off white ring. Aroma is roasted malts, sweet bourbon and a small nuttiness. Taste is hazelnut, roasted malts, sweet bourbon warms the palate. Overall a nice beer. The bourbon accents the brown ale well.
