bomber thanks to bu11zeye, dense brown color with roasty nuts and sour chocolate flavor notes, a bit bitter Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - FEB 10, 2013
Bottle at thirdeye11’s birthday party. Brown with a white head. The aroma has a lot of nuttiness with some lightly toasted malt and brown sugar. The flavor is more of the same. I get some nice nutty character, as well as some molasses, cream and toasted malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 29, 2013
(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear deep brown, wispy tan bubbles. Nose of roasty nuts, cream, alcohol, marshmallow, sweet brown sugar. Taste of metal, nuts, brown sugar, toasty marshmallow. Medium thick oily body, nutty linger. Strykzone (7806) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JAN 23, 2013
Sampled at an esbls tasting. Dark nrown with red. A beige head. Lots of spices here. Hops are citrus and fairly big, too. A nice beer that has an "in your face" aspect. I like it. ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - JAN 17, 2013
22 oz bottle. Pours a dark murky brown with a quickly disappating tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is dominated by nice roasted malts and hints of caramel and vanilla. Bittersweet cocoa on the backbone. A bit boozy. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Alcohol definitely warms you up. Perfect on this wet cold night. Sticky bitter finish.

Pours clear dark brown with ruby highlights under a thick frothy tan head.
The aroma is soft sweet malts and cocoa powder with a touch of marshmallow.
The flavor is sweet but with a roast malt bitterness keeping the sweetness well reined in. Complex in it’s own strange way. It does hide it’s alcohol well. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Bomber from Total Wine, Durham. Roiling dark brown cola pour, with a thick, chalky head. Strong hops and what seem like toasted cinnamon malts in the nose, somethign dry and nutty in there too. Thick and lively carbonation, nothing cloying about the mouthfeel despite the heaviness. Taste is imperial hoppy brown crossed with Christmas cookie, loads of toasted malts, caramel, all back up by ridiculous hopping. Warming, deceptively easy drinker, pretty good all around. bottle. muddy deep brown, almost black, beer with a small, creamy, tan head. sweet aroma of brown sugar, creamed coffee, and toasted nuts. lots of ’brown’ in here. loaded with nutty and toasted notes, caramelized sugars, root beer. modest on the hops. warming, but i wouldn’t guess at its 10 abv. i like this beer and this style. italianjohn (3312) - Penndel, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 4, 2012
Deep brown pour, soapy beige head ... Aroma of caramel, roasted and chocolate malts .... Taste is bittersweet some sweet and dark bitter chocolate, roasted and caramel malts with a bitter hoppy bite .. Lively on the tongue.... Not bad flavors finished dry, roasted and light bitter. dphoxie (120) - North Carolina, USA - NOV 20, 2012
All in all I wasn’t too impressed. the aroma and appearance held such promise but the drink itself just didn’t deliver.aroma is sweet malts without much hop. it wasn’t sickening sweet, until i sipped it. then i just felt like they were using the sweetness to hide the 10% abv. I was hoping ot get more roast - more brown ale than just a sweet boozy concoction. I know know, it wasn’t my cup of tea.
