Aroma is like a bakery, fresh bread, rye/pumperknickel/sourdough.
Appearance: dark brown, tannish head. Looks delicious.
Taste: caramel, some yeast, more Bread. Hint of raisin or some dark fruit. Very nice
Feel is A little flat, muddy.
Really nice brown ale. I’d buy this again.

Brown pour with copper hues. Clinging off white head lace. Aroma is roasted malt, nutty, with a hinto chocolate. Flavor is light sweet chocolate malt, roasty, nutty, and a bito citrus zest. Medium bodied with good carbonation. The medium bitter lingers in a pleasent way for quite a bit. Nice beer all round. kevinator (2213) - The Colony, Texas, USA - DEC 30, 2014
Decent nutty malt and slightly hoppy aroma. Soft brown color with a medium head. Hoppier than most brown ales that was balanced by a roasted and nutty malt base. Good and nice to see them go off their standard beers. slimspady (219) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 27, 2014
Dark brown pour. 1" white head. Sweet aroma. Nice balance between the malts and hops. My first Clown Shoes, not the last. alexsdad06 (10430) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 21, 2014
22 oz bottle at home. Pours a dark brown color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, chocolate, earthy, mild resiny hops, woody, some brown sugar sweetness, decent take on a style that is typically very boring.

Full bodied with a beautiful blend of dark malts - this is the kind of brown ale I like. Leather toffee nose. Rich round bitter chocolate cake mouth (slight alcohol taste) with a lightly bitter finish. A truly exceptional example of this style.

Pours a dark amberish brown with a thin light tan head. The nose has notes of chocolate and licorice that includes a bit of hop aroma as well. First sip is malty and roasted moderately with coffee and chocolate flavours. Rich and malty with a bit of a sweet overbearing flavour. The finish has nutty and chocolate notes as well as citrusy hops and a smooth finish. TattooJack (518) - Illinois, USA - DEC 12, 2014
Poured from a bomber into the pint glass, smells sweet, tastes sweet with a bit of bitter, enjoy the brown. elbernays (1509) - Dublin, IRELAND - DEC 12, 2014
Bottle shared. Cheers Sean. Pours reddish brown with thin tan head. Aroma is Bubblegum, banana, nuts, yeast, cinnamon. Flavour is sweet nut with hazelnut finish. Low carbonation. Probably a bit sweet for me but plenty of carbonation. Gachupines (1252) - USA - DEC 6, 2014
Dark brown with a thin tan head. Aroma of brown sugar and molasses. Flavor is rich and sweet, flavors of molasses. Mildly bitter finish keeps it from being too sweet.
