12 oz bottle into tall tulip. Dark cola color but nearly syrupy; you can tell from the poor that its going to be an oily, smooth beer. Nutty, chocolate, barely roasty, caramel, malt, lots of vanilla. Lots of smooth carbonation; medium to full mouthfeel. I didnt notice the chile whatsoever, but I wasnt really looking for it. Pretty good methinks.

12 oz. bottle poured at my brothers in Methuen, MA. Pours a dark brown, almost black with a brownish head. Smells slightly of chocolate and spices. Definitely a touch of cinnamon. I was disappointed with this beer; the chile taste didnt work for me although the finish was more typical of a stout. For me it was barely drinkable. Too bad...I was really excited to try this.

Pour from bottle. Small head with no lacing. Nose is malt, chocolate, roasted coffee, some sweetness, mocha, some other muddley stuff. Palate is more roasty, chocolate coffee stuff with mocha and some light underlying spices. Mouthfeel is smooth, light, velvety bits with some light oxidation on the end. Light carbonation.

Random bottle pick up. Coffee/chocolate aroma. The anchos go really well with the chocolate, cinnamon, and vanilla. Not bad for the ABV. Overall pleasantly surprised for how random of a find this is.
