Pours dark with a small tan head. Aromas fit the explained profile with chocolate more prominent. Taste follows aromas everything is slight with a dark chocolate lingering on a dry finish.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a nice creamy two finger tan head. The aroma is chocolate, cinnamon, lactose, and some vegetable notes but not spicy in any way however. The flavor is also similar to the aroma. The chocolate is there, so is the cinnamon, medium roasted barley malts, brown bread, very mild pepper flavor. The mouthfeel is medium and the abv is hidden.

Bottle - Pours straight up black, tan creamy head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, hints of coffee and Coke. Flavors of a bakers chocolate pie - with buttery crust, creamy mouth-feel, dark malts, bitter hops, and a delicious vanilla center. Surprisingly good.

Bottle split two ways. Black pour with a light tan head. Notes of dark malts, more malty sweet, light spice, some chocolate and light roasty. A tad plain...

12 oz single purchased from Lifesource in Salem for the VERY high price of $4.59 Pours a gorgeous dark mahogany almost black body with an attractive creamy tan head. Aromas of semi dark chocolate and coffee and cream..a litle chili maybe,,something triggers in the back of the nasal passage. Taste very smooth like creamed coffee ice cream with vanilla nibs and chilis. Milky Italian roast coffee..nice stuff. Excellent creamy solid and smooth mouth feel. Often these Imperials bog down the tongue..but this none is smooth as butter and no alcohol burn. As an Oregonian and local beer type i was ready to burn this one..but it is an excellent beer and i wish i could get it fresh on tap.
