Enticing dark pour, almost no head. Aroma is mostly chocolate malt. Pepper hit first on taste, but not overwhelming. A creamy thick stout underneath makes for a nice balance. Thats a really good combination, but its a bit too sweet on the end.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to David. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. The nose has light roast, milk chocolate, a little caramel, toast. Medium sweet flavour with bittersweet chocolate, some dusty burnt malts, mild earthy bitterness, light alcohol, burnt marshmallows. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with sugary chocolate, dry roast, faint coffee, oily vanilla. Fairly simplistic but enjoyable.

Bottle thanks to Dave. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt, loads of chocolate, mocha coffee, toasty, some dried fruits and fruit cake. The taste is smooth, sweet roasted malt, chocolate, mocha coffee, earthy, some warming alcohol, chewy malt, brown bread and cake with a warming finish. Medium - full body and moderate foamy carbonation. A bit boosty and not much depth, but drinks easy (for me).

Bottle. Nose is a little muted; milk chocolate, vanilla, hint of cherry, spice, and a little chilli tickle.Taste is sweet malt, leading to chocolate, a sweet chilli spice, vanilla, coffee ice-cream, a little fruitiness, hint of licorice, and a pleasing spice. Mouthfeel is oily and maybe a little thin for an imperial stout. I think this is a good imperial stout, but I particularly liked how the spice is used, and particularly the pepper to stop the beer becoming cloying and oversweet.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. On the appearance the color is black with a think brown head that fizzes out quick. The aroma is cocoa, coffee and a tickling of chili pepper. The taste is deliciously complex with a cocoa base that blends smooth vanilla with subtle cinnamon spice and chili heat.

Jet black pour with a thin head and plenty of lacing. Faint aromas of chocolate and some spice. Taste far exceeds the smell. Chocolate, roasted malts with hints of cinnamon, vanilla and peppers with a bitter sweet finish. Full bodied mouth full with little carbonation. Very nice imperial stout, right up there with Brooklyn chocolate stout

Pours dark redish brown with beige head. Decent carbonation. Not much aroma, some sweet notes but hard to pick up. Taste is chili, vanilla, candy chocolate, roast. End taste is bitter sweet. A little lacking in body and not sure the Mexican style works well here, but hides the ABV well.
