650ml bottle from The Wine Emporium. Everything about this beer is great from the colourful label to the deep dark chocolate beer. Awesomeness in a glass.

Pours pitch black with a large, creamy brown head. Smells like vanilla and chocolate with a touch of coffee. taste is vanilla, dark chocolate enriched by the chili presence, coffee bitterness, and a slight cinnamon bite at the end. Medium-bodied (it’s only fault, being an imperial stout) with a soft, smooth texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Clown Shoes Chocolate Sombrero finishes with a touch of cinnamon spice. Very tasty. Chocolate notes are prevalent, but the stout comes through also. Excellent taste.

The more I drink this, the more I’m impressed with it. Pours super dark with a small head. Some roasted notes in the nose that underlie some strong malt smells. Very interesting flavor palate - roasting, chocolate, with some hints of that heat from the chiles. Damn... Hop_Hedonist (597) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - SEP 14, 2013
Smooth - massively bodied - Choc liqueur after-taste - just beautiful. Tasted after the Rogue Voodoo and not a million miles different except in alcohol taste. A sipping beer. Really enjoying it.

Bottle from Carwyn cellars. Aromas of chocolate and vanilla, with hints of liquorice and alcohol. Sweet and bitter, long length. Danev76 (505) - AUSTRALIA - MAR 13, 2014
Delicious choc aroma. Jet black colour with thick tan head. Nice choc flavour up front with some coffee and a little spicy heat. Med body and carbonation

Clown shoes is a fantastic company. All I can say about Chocolate Sombrero is WOW!!! I bought a bomber today for $8, and it is one of the best, if not the best chocolate stouts I have tasted. You can smell the faint hints of cinnamon, chocolate and can feel the heat of the chile powder. It really is good stuff. Very smooth, dark, and easy on the palate. Perfect carbonation for this beer. Love it! sirebril (11) - Los Angeles, California, USA - AUG 5, 2013
Pours an opaque, charcoal-black with a light beige head with a lightly syrupy caramel/vanilla nose. Solid chocolate overall flavor and a delightfully-full mouthfeel. The ancho/cinnamon notes note are mild and perfectly balanced with a light ethanol outbreath. Likely pairings would include carne asada, hot panang curry and spicy chocolate desserts. jimmie65 (330) - Texas, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Poured from a bomber - Chocolate brown pour with a good head. Aroma strikes you right away - chocolate, caramel, and wood. Flavor is chocolate and vanilla, with a smoky chile afternote. Perfectly balanced.
Really great beer, but best with substantial food that can stand up to its flavor.
