22oz Bottle. The pour was a very dark muddy brown with an average (1-2 finger) tan creamy head that had great retention, reducing slightly to a small cap and possessed excellent sheeting of lacing that coated the entire glass. The aroma was of a burnt chocolate malt, light resin hops and an earthy yeast with notes of dark chocolate, roasted coffee, vanilla, chili peppers, a hint of smoke and a moderate alcohol presence. The taste was good and roasty with a nice malty-sweetness and a touch of chocolate throughout, progressing slightly with a mild bitter charred flavor with notes of coffee, a spicy chili bite and a hint of cinnamon ate the end. The flavor lasted an average time following the swallow, with a spicy alcohol warming sensation and a nice roastiness left behind. Mouthfeel was almost full in body with a creamy, oily texture and a somewhat medium carbonation. Overall this was a brew with a very nice complexity derived from all the flavors converging upon one another, which as it turned out created a really tasty and well balanced Stout with a superb drinkability...

Buon corpo e carbonazione bassa.

Post workout beer in Alamogordo that I picked up from Specs in El Paso. Lightly cool because the fridge is less than cold. Pours a dark brown with a foamy, rich, brown head. Aroma is sweet malt, milk chocolate and a hint of spice in the finish. Great flavor that starts with sweet chocolate and vanilla like ice cream and has a touch of lingering spice. Enjoyable.

Pours inky black with roasting and dark chocolate on the nose; nice long oily finish with bitter dark chocolate edge.

Finally a Stout, and Imperial at that... 9% alcohol isn’t bad! Great all around.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black with a nice creamy two finger tan head. The aroma is chocolate, cinnamon, lactose, and some vegetable notes but not spicy in any way however. The flavor is also similar to the aroma. The chocolate is there, so is the cinnamon, medium roasted barley malts, brown bread, very mild pepper flavor. The mouthfeel is medium and the abv is hidden.

Black with a creme brulee head, and a dark chocolate, espresso nose. Smooth, malty, and syrupy mouthfeel with a dry, roasty, espresso, dark chocolate, dark cherry finish. Some alcohol warming.

Bottle - Pours straight up black, tan creamy head. Aroma of dark roasted malts, chocolate, hints of coffee and Coke. Flavors of a bakers chocolate pie - with buttery crust, creamy mouth-feel, dark malts, bitter hops, and a delicious vanilla center. Surprisingly good.
