3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle. Light gold, hazy pour, with a medium, off-white, bubbly head. The aroma is strong coriander, lemonade, and a little rye and pine. The flavor is perfectly balanced citrusy sweetness and orange peel bitterness, with a crisp, light spiciness in the finish. Light to medium body, sharp, and acidic. Overall, this is a great witbier, and I’m a big fan of the style.
Tight white head stayed on a hazy, highly carbonated, dark golden body.
Peppery yeast & sweet citrus aroma.
Medium bodied, smooth on the palate, tingly on the back & a cloying finish.
Quite dull hopless tastes of.... Clementine, yeast, bitter pith baking soda & a sugary finish. MetalNHopHead (2191) - Lincoln, Nebraska, USA - OCT 13, 2017
Despite it's name of Clementine, this Wit from Clown Shoes is rather subtle in terms of its fruitiness. Cloudy yellow pour. Grainy nose with touches of spice, citrus, and fruit peel. Clementine has a thick, milky feel. Flavor is spicy (pepper, clove) with some pleasant sweetness (banana, bubblegum). There's just a bit of juicy citrus flavor that presents itself at the middle-back of the mouth. I'm still getting introduced to Clown Shoes, but it definitely seems like they have a knack for adding subtle fruit flavors. harpo40 (35) - Eastham, Massachusetts, USA - OCT 10, 2017
A very enjoyable Witbier with a darker color than previous ones. Notes of citrus, coriander and wheat come through in an enjoyable and easy drinking beer. More flavorful than several we have had. PugUglyBrewer (792) - - AUG 7, 2017
Hazy golden yellow color with a bit of a dense head of white foam. The orange peel accentuates well with the coriander spice. Refreshing and light to medium bodied while a bit slick. madquacker (1170) - Canberra ACT, AUSTRALIA - AUG 5, 2017
Hazy white colour with coriander and spices bubbling away on the top. A bit astringent and tart. Not really my style of beer but pretty good.

12 ounce can at home. Smells and tastes like it has oranges in this. Orange and hazy in color. Sweet. Light white head. Fuzzy sweet after bite that goes away quickly. Interesting beer that’s all right with me. PanMarek (463) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 25, 2017
Pale golden yellow pour with thin foam but lots of carbonation. Light body. Good, strong citrus nose with a little spice and some malt. The orange comes out in the flavor with the cereal malt providing a mild background. The spice are subtle. It’s a refreshing summer beer, but perhaps a little more sweet than tart.

2015 BJCP Category: 24A Witbier
AROMA: Slightly faux orange character. Noticeably sweet, also soda-like. Minor spice presence. Faint wheat presence. No hops. 8/12
APPEARANCE: Orange hue; hazy body (7-9 SRM). Small off-white foam completely evaporates. 1/3
FLAVOR: Fairly strong, but seemingly faux orange flavor. Sweet but not cloying. Spice notes are far too tame except on the finish. Slight tartness and bready character in the background. Surprisingly strong, but brief bitterness. 11/20
MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body and carbonation. Feels undercarbonated; almost watery. Palette is way too weak for 6% ABV. Refreshing with a mostly clean aftertaste. 3/5
OVERALL IMPRESSION: Not authentic enough for the style; too faux. Easy to drink, but boring. 4/10
TOTAL SCORE: 27/50
Clear amber with a big white head. Aroma is oranges, yeast and malt. Taste is clementine, bread and yeast dlihcsnatas (780) - Temple, Texas, USA - JUN 17, 2017
Got it in the CAN. Hazy gold with fast fading head and the aroma of spices. Lots of spice flavors in this one. The coriander seems to stick out the most. Not bad at all. Guess it was worth the extra buck for the six pack, just wish it was six bottles and not CANs.
