Aged for 3 years. Pours a small, beige, creamy head. Dark chestnut in color and a little murky. Nice strands of lace. Full body and creamy. Figs, brazil nut shell, kilned sweet cereal malts, dried fruit sweetness, caramel malt and brown sugar. Would like to try a fresh one to see if it's hoppy when fresh as label hints at it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Inget extraordinärt, men ruskigt gott.

Sampled from the tap at All Pints North 2017. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a yellowish tan head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of sweet grains, caramel and toffee with a bit of citrus underlying. Flavor has lots of sweet grains with grass, pine, caramel and toffee supporting.

Keg @ APN 2017. Deep amber pour with a small head. Honeyed brown bread. Fairly nutty. Hot and sweet. Rich. Some strong pine bitterness offsets. OK.

Gott.

Bottle to snifter, the appearance was a murky dark mahogany color with a fingers worth of white foamy head that fell off at a moderate pace. Slim concave lace. The aroma had some sweet dried dark fruits, light leather, subtle earthiness, vanilla, driftwood, dried leaves and light smoke. The flavor took all of the prior mentioned aromas to boot and seemed to have the normal level of tobacco that I usually get in this style. Aftertaste was brisk and sweet. Finish followed suite. The palate was medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt just a touch under than what was projected, but I wasnt bothered by that. Overall, pretty nice barleywine seemed to lean towards the English side more than the American, in my opinion.

Bottle. Dark reddish brown color, tanned head. Aroma has sweet malts, bread, some plums and cherry notes. Nice malty body, sweet, plums, cherry, some oaky notes. Actually pretty nice.
