Pour is clear ruddy amber with a thin khaki head...smell is faintly malty and strongly citric and hoppy...taste is malty with caramel sweetness then a strong grapefruit bitterness with some pine and soap also...relatively quick finish that is mildly dry...not my thing but good none the less... Pours light brown amber mahogany with a tight, off-white tan head. Smells a bit of tropical fruits and a bit floral, with some stronger malt presence, a nice blend. Tastes really bitter, amazingly so, compared to the nose, with a touch of malt sweetness. Medium-bodied with a smooth, wet texture and some mouth-carbonation, Clown Shoes Eagle Claw Fist finishes really, really dry. jeremytoni (3058) - Swedesboro, New Jersey, USA - AUG 27, 2011

Bomber pours dark amber chestnut with a large khaki head. Aroma is malty, with tropical fruits, pine, caramel. Taste has an earthy maltiness all the way through, a heavy resinious pine presence which borders on metallic, with fruit, finishing with a dry malty bitterness. Not bad not great.

Even brown with a big tan head and a thick, perfumey, citrus buzzy hop aroma. Taste is deep, pithy bitterness with a slight astringent roast into the finish with thin lemon thereafter. $6/22oz Hopper (827) - San Antonio, Texas, USA - AUG 10, 2011
22 oz. brown bottle. A hazy amber beer with a small head. The aroma is hoppy, orange rind, oranges, pine and an almost slight vanilla sweetness. The taste is a little rough around the edges. Some sweetness and hop flavor but I mainly get bitterness that lasts quite awhile like someone is scraping my tongue. An OK beer but I hope they do better in honor of Candace who seems to be a real treat. dbarnold (1127) - Bethesda, Maryland, USA - AUG 10, 2011
I enjoyed this one a lot. Reminded me a little of 5am saint...not quite as hoppy but similar character. Brown with a nice hop kick and clean finish. Refreshing and not overpowering or sweet given the alcohol.
