3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Copper pour with a 1 finger, yellow beige head. Aroma is sweet citrus and caramelized tropical fruit salad right up front, booze, biscuit, caramel and a sort of sharp fruity cheese note that I can’t really put my finger on, like cheddar and tart berry puree or something. Flavor is sweet caramel, pale malt, sweet berry, melon and tropical fruit, tart and bitter citrus, hot booziness, and a weird, every fruit and vegetable in the fridge put in a blender then cooked into soup taste to the finish. Medium body, syrupy, almost sticky feel throughout and medium, but sharp carbonation. It’s a bit of an overly boozy, syrupy mess, but it is pretty enjoyable overall. However, at $13/4pk it’s definitely a poor value. Maybe $7/6pk MIGHT warrant more than one purchase.
Sweet citrus aroma, nice orange golden color, slight white head, sweet orange hoppy flavor, nice and smooth with a slight bitter finish

In a time when even the Imperial IPA's are venturing into a brighter and fruitier spectrum, Galactica drinks like an IPA that's gradually going out of vogue. Still, it won't go quietly and Clown Shoes makes a good hoppy beer regardless of the styling. Galactica pours amber with off-white suds. Dank aroma redolent of wet pine needles, woodsy and floral hops, and resin. Pithy flavor of grapefruit peel and bitter pine. Some caramel and toasty malt comes through. Crisp feel - not quite bracing but intense. There's no doubt that Clown Shoes can appease hopheads. simontomlinson (556) - Blackburn, Lancashire, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2017
Off white creamy head stayed well on a ruby red, still still body.
Well balanced aroma - smells really smooth. Over ripe fruit, wood & orange.
Medium to full bodied, oily, minimal carbonation & cloying.
Heavy on the hops with bitter citrus, pith, sweet malt, red berries & a woody finish. lusikka (7819) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 18, 2017
473 ml can. Enjoyed at Austin, TX. Pours an orange golden colour with a white slightly foamy head. Aroma of orange, dank hops, caramel and resin. Flavour of heavy dank bitterness, orange, strong resin, caramel and some herbal notes. Full bodied. Long lingering bitter finish. Great! truebluehes (206) - Tipton, Iowa, USA - SEP 11, 2017
Can. Cloudy orange with frothy white head. Subtle hop aroma. Smooth malt with nice hop balance. Nice dry finish. Nothing special, but nothing wrong either. Very solid IIPA.

UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Clear red orange pour with an off white head. Great lacing. Aroma is caramel, pine, grapefruit and toast. Taste is citrus rind, toffee, tropical, toast and pine. Pretty firm bitterness that lingers. Medium body. DocJitsu (2025) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - AUG 19, 2017
Pours a dark honey-golden with a fat, well-retaining brown-cream head. Orange and pineapple on the nose with a hint or two of alcohol. Flavors are more bland than the nose would suggest. Alcohol bitters the beer relatively quickly. tennisjoel (1483) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - JUL 13, 2017
The beer’s peach appearance with a fine white head which has significant lacing. Aroma is a bit subdued for an IPA. Piney resiny hops. Spritzy mouthfeel and yummy resin like hops. Galaxy hops are one of my more favorite hop varieties. This is very drinkable for 8%. Its a pleasure and it would be easy to knock back a few of these.
