Poured from a 750 mL bottle into a stout glass. Aromas of roasted malt, a bit of vanilla. Almost completely opaque with a small tan head and a bit of lacing. It’s a sweeter porter, but not over-sweet. The thing that’s so great about this beer is how creamy it is. It has a mouthfeel like milk, and the finish is tremendous. I guess pecans don’t have much flavor, so I wouldn’t count on a ton of that, but this is a really exceptional porter in its own right. obguthr (6651) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Hazelnut, not pecan, and coffee nose. Mahogany, medium tan head, good lacing. Creamy mouthfeel. Char and pecan flavor, but not overly bitter. A little bit of coffee in the finish. Very nicely done. The name and label are wonderfully campy. The label features a likeness of Genghis Khan heroically hurling pecan pies at attacking turkeys that wearing the obligatory clown shoes. This bottle will be added to my highly selective collection. DeGrog (8) - USA - JAN 31, 2014 does not count
This was such the perfect blend of a porter and a sweet nut! Smooth across the palate quenching my thirst and tickling my tongue for more. Brilliantly named and so well made. Thank you!!!!

Pours deep dark brown and black as it pools with a small tan head. Nose is pecans, brown sugar, sweet cream and carrot cake. Taste is well balanced sweet and bitter. Mouthfeel is soft and creamy, medium to heavy body and a long aftertaste.

Bottle. Pours a near black color with a very thin tan head. Nose is just a tad sweet from the nuts, but has a hint of roasting in it. Taste has the nuttiness of the pecans in there and with a hint of sweetness. Interesting...

I’m just coming into the world of Porters. This one was excellent and full of flavor. pottygok (548) - Ohio, USA - DEC 18, 2013
Aroma: Nutty, roasted aroma with hints of soy sauce.
Appearance: Dark brown, almost black, with a chocolaty tan head.
Taste: Medium sweetness with hints of bitterness at the edges.
Palate: Full body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, long finish.
Overall: It’s a rich, robust beer. I’m not sure I taste the pecan pie, but there is a slightly nutty flavor that adds to this beer. Really well done. Cool_Bond (2790) - KUNG_AV_OL @ Instagram, SWEDEN - SEP 12, 2014
Incredibly good smell of chocolate and coffee. Lovely coffee flavor is what strikes me. Wonderful bitterness that fills the mouth forever. Truly a easy porter to drink. Follow me @ Kung av öl @ Facebook for more pictures and ratings. Daytonbeer (729) - Ohio, USA - OCT 16, 2013
Pours black with brown head and nice lacing. Beautiful appearance. Aroma of dark malts, chocolate, and hazelnut. Taste is the same with pecan notes and bitter chocolate. Good body, not thin. Rating might be a little high, but this is one of my favorite styles and combinations. jerseyjohn71 (308) - Corsicana, Texas, USA - MAR 9, 2014
