Opaque black beer. Good pale tan head. Palate is smooth and a little dry. Crispy. Slightly roasty dark malt, a little salty. Strong pine hops, bitter. Trace of red berry fruits. Smooth semi dry finish. Manages to be both smooth and harsh at the same time.
Bottle. Completely black, large beige head with good retention and decent lacing. Aroma of coffee grounds, burnt espesso, dark milk chocolate. Taste is rich and roasty with pine and flowers. Very nice. cgarvieuk (24466) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 15, 2012
