Bottle 65 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense and frothy shaving foam style beige head. Cocoa dominates the nose. Medium body, plenty of bitter chocolate, subdued roast, while the hops don’t appear all that distainct - other than bitter. Appears mostly like a bitter Porter. 311211 madmitch76 (24431) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 10, 2013

Opaque black beer, good pale tan head. Softish palate. Nice fine carbonation. Medium dark malt with super mild roast. Bitterish pine with subtle red berry fruits. Nice black IPA, very drinkable without being spectacular.
Bottle. Black, large brown head with moderate retention and solid lacing. Aroma of grass-laced brownies, light coffee. Taste is coffe grounds, pine resin, bitter finish. Nice. Leighton (21089) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 8, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours dark brown with a thick, rich beige foam head. Aroma holds a healthy dose of roasted malts, along with some sweet cocoa, burnt wood, grapefruit. Medium sweet flavor, lots of charred wood, some licorice, burnt grass, bitter earth, some dark sugars. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with some decent resins, heavy roasted malts, lots of charred wood, almost abrasive burnt grass, some ripe citrus, especially grapefruit. There are some interesting characteristics in here, but the bitterness also comes across a touch harsh in the end, and the citrusy fruits seem a bit unrealised. Still decent overall, but not everything it could be. Rasmus40 (20338) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - JAN 28, 2012
Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, chocolate and rather hoppy - pine needles. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish. 280112
