From notes. Enjoyed at a tasting at Corbet’s house on November 06. 22 oz bottle. The pour is a lighter black/brown color with a thick light tan head that falls down to a thin ring with a couple spots of good lace. The aroma is mostly bourbon with a light chocolate and a hint of spice. There isn’t a whole lot else happening there and it’s a little disappointing. The flavor is much of the same. The chocolate and booze just control throughout. There is a light oak and a hint of chilies that doesn’t really do anything but raise a question. The mouth feel is lighter medium bodied and softly carbonated with a lingering booze and a bit of chocolate. This is pretty interesting, and it’s just messy. 6 4 6 4 14 kryon (3870) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - OCT 13, 2017

Rich tasting beer kinda like a dopplebock but with some heat from the chipotle peppers. Nice

Thanks to who sent this bottle. Ageing I think helped round the complex flavour. It is not boozy smelling but packs a punch. Very dark brown, rich cream. Advocate_Ames (635) - Steubenville, Ohio, USA - DEC 30, 2016
Aged bottle. Pours dark with a foam head that dissipates. The aroma is of cinnamon, vanilla, sugar, bourbon, some roasted malts, and subtle notes of peppers. Tasting, it is of very sweet sugary notes, vanilla flavors, mild pepper heat, bourbon, and a weak bitterness of roasted dark malts. Overall a good brew with a good body and finish. arminjewell (9720) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 8, 2016
Pour on tap, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of big bourbon, oak, whiskey, vanilla, touch of roast, cocoa powder, slight pepper notes. Taste was a mix of oak, bourbon, whiskey into some chocolate, vanilla, touch of pepper notes, finishing boozy. Pretty decent. Drake (14078) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 20, 2016

Keg at Sedona Charlottesville, 4/18/16. Dark brown, thin fizzy tan head, decent retention. Aroma of strong bourbon, vanilla, roasted malts, raisin. The taste is strong bourbon, vanilla, caramel, roasted malts. Medium bodied, low carbonation, too much barrel character.
Sampled on draft at Vintage Estate this beer poured a black color with a trace tan head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was floral hops, hot peppers, chocolate and bourbon. The flavor was sweet, toasty and malty with motes of molasses, bread crust, chocolate, bourbon and a hint of hot peppers. Delightfully complex. Very long finish. Full bodied and smooth. Alcohol well contained. Outstanding.
