Bottle. Pour is near-black with a smattering of tan bubbles. Does not appear as viscous as expected. Aroma is really nice with loads of milk chocolate, light roasted malt, faint fruitiness, and faint vanilla. Not getting too much bourbon. Flavor is pretty smooth and true to nose with lots of milk chocolate, light roasted malt, faint alcohol, and faint vanilla distant in the finish. As I have more sips, a very faint amount of heat is present in the back of my throat along with light coffee notes. The heat builds over time. Hides 11% very well. Really do not get too much of the bourbon. A nice beer. Travlr (26948) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - FEB 11, 2013
Bottle. Completely black, small brown head. Aroma of rich vanilla, espresso, dark cocoa. Taste is dark roast coffee, chocolate, vanilla, and a bit of heat, but not enough to overwhelm the beer flavors. Very nice. TheEpeeist (3709) - Media, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2013
22 oz bottle. Dark brown with a foamy tan cap. Nose is chocolate, bourbon, wood and vanilla with slight chili spice. Creamy with chili heat and airy alcohol. Taste is bourbon with some chocolate, vanilla and molasses; a touch vegetal. Lingering chili warmth. Needs more chocolate or less bourbon. ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - FEB 8, 2013
Bomber. Pours a deep reddish brown with a dark tan head. Nice lacing. Nose is loaded with chiles and chocolate and sweet malts. Taste is full of chiles, alcohol, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Nice fresh spicy kick. Very earthy and fresh. Awesome brew! Flavor gets more potent as it warms! Amazing. Happy Birthday to me!

Pours black into a snifter. Mocha head with little retention recedes to mottle rim leaving spot lacing. Chocolate and vanilla aromas. Soft with oak, chili and chocolate upfront turning to espresso and vanilla in the hot, lasting finish.

Bottle from a mystery donor that was shared at a mystery location ijn SE PA. Poured turbid dark black with khaki head. Nose was roasty choc and black patent malts, oaky whiskey, and peppery. Tasted rich, oaky, with notes of dark malt, bourbon, and a chipotle flavor that starts insignificant but gets significantly spicier as it warms. This one is complex and very good.
