On tap at the Sanctuary. Dark pour. Starts out sweet, dark chocolate flavors. I don’t really get the peppers. Finish is all bourbon and alcohol. A bit hot for the palate, but complex flavors. danfontaine (41) - - JAN 19, 2015
On growler from My Friends Growler Shop. This could explain the lower rating in appearance due to low carbonation/head. WillRunForBeer (2766) - Massachusetts, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Another shared by Adrien, big thanks! 2013 bottle. Pours deep brown, no head. Aroma is dark chocolate, peppers and bourbon heat. Flavor follows. Dark chocolate, mild chipotle, bourbon. Nice. AirForceHops (7820) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Bomber 2013 vintage. Aroma is real mild pepper at this point, barrel has mellowed but still shows. Good level of chocolate as well. They flavor is light on the spice (chipotle is mild) and shows me bakers chocolate and mild bourbon in the backend. Carbonation is mildly creamy and soft. The pepper has a very weak hint of heat. Very nice but maybe should have been opened about 6 months ago, that being said, still really nice. AdamChandler (5181) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - JAN 3, 2015
Pitch black tiny dark brown head that faded fast. Smells spicy as all giddyup.Lots of sweet chocolate, faint raisin and port wine with a heavy rye whiskey. This is a little thinner than expected. tons of spice but the pepper doesn’t linger. This is chocolate for miles. just sweet, nutty like peanut, walnut and cocoa. Whiskey finish, lends a sweet dried fruit and cashew with simple syrup and rye. So glad this isn’t really spicy.

0.65l bottle from what has to be my secret santa. Just can’t pinpoint whom it was... Anyhow, thanks! Looks really nice in the glass this with a thick and really oily black pour. It actually can bear some resemblance of pouring oil in a glass, and it’s leaving a nice big kinda brown looking head that’s leaving lacings. Smells absolutely amazing this! You immediately get the chili fruitiness here. It’s sweet, there’s vanilla and sweet dark chocolate blessed with something that reminds me more of whisky than bourbon. A lovely lovely nose indeed. Yup, it’s as thick, chewy and viscous in the mouth as it was on the pour. A lovely mouthfeel with a nice prickling small bubbled carbonation level. The spicy chili is slowly warming the throat while chocolate, roasted makes, whisky and a slight alco warmth just tickles on my taste buds. It’s not to hot on the spices, but it’s really fruity and slightly smoky-warming. I get lots of marzipan towards the end and some wood is also present. This is a flavor bomb. Huge thanks for the bottle! 26.06.2014 ryanfolty (2604) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - OCT 15, 2014
October 15, 2014 - bottle from AV3. Dark brown pour with nice head that lasted for a bit. Aroma was bourbon, chocolate, spice and peppers. Taste was a nice balance of the heat, chocolate, sweetness and spice, though the bourbon is the most dominate flavor. jbrana (640) - NASHVILLE, Tennessee, USA - OCT 14, 2014
Quite good! Rich with strong chocolate, bourbon, and vanilla flavors. Not a lot of chili flavors, but some cinnamon. asheft (3108) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 2, 2014
Bottle. Extremely complex aroma of dark chocolate with dried fruit, almonds, and boozy vanilla. Opaque black with hazy, ruby highlights under a bubbly, light brown, thin sheet. Rich dark chocolate flavour with bourbon and vanilla like a liquor-filled chocolate. Some red fruit notes and a good level of dark chocolate bitterness. Full body, moderate to medium carbonation. Smooth and warm.
