BottleZ. Pours black with white head. Aroma is spice, cinnamon, dont get barrel or vanilla. Taste is surprisngly light, peppery. Again no barrel or vanilla. Decent beer, just missing some of the aspects. Homer321 (5076) - Melboring, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2014
bottleshare thanks to Beechner224. Nose is slightly spicey with lots of chocolate. Pours a dark black with minimal head. Pepper is slightly muted but the most prominent of the spices. Cinnamon is there but slightly muted as well. Not much barrel character. Pretty good but just kinda lacking. DrewFace (969) - Melbourne, Florida, USA - JUN 6, 2014
Bottle share thanks to beechner224. Big chocolately malt aroma, some light sweet lactose like character, peppers come through as it sits. Demise sweet, chocolate malt, grainy, light peppery notes, fairly smooth and not overpowering pepper. Lots of boost and barrel character. umich03jm (3513) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - JUN 2, 2014
Bottle. Pours black with a medium sized foamy head that fades to a nice ring. Aromas are bourbon, brown sugar, vanilla, cocoa, and light smokey peppers. Tastes a little too bourbon forward but there’s some nice vanilla and cocoa. Smokey peppers and pepper heat only show in the finish and it’s pretty light. Nice brown sugar sweetness throughout. Medium to thick body. Very creamy mouthfeel. Good BA stout. Rangi (672) - NEW ZEALAND - MAY 30, 2014
A wee desert beer this one. Big sweetness over all followed by a dominant aroma and flavour from the barrell which works really well with just the hint of cinimon coming through. Missed the chilli and peppers though.

This beer pours dark with a small dark head that doesn’t linger much. It smells of vanilla, chocolate and oak. Taste is very sweet up front a lot of barrel on this one followed by chocolate and vanilla with a very slight hint of peppers at the end. More a bit of heat you get when the sip is done Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2014
This one poured an almost black color with a beige head. Aroma was of lots of bourbon and chocolate, not really and chile at all. Falvor was similar, nice BA stout, big broubona nd chocolate, but disappointing heat. hayduke (5218) - Eureka, California, USA - MAY 17, 2014
This was a sample pour from Dark Lord Day 2014 bottle sharing. Poured into my tasting glass a near black color with a tan head. Nose of chocolate malts with a little spice from the chili. Medium plus in body with a lively mouthfeel. The flavor is dominated by the chocolate and chili is in the finish, Nice beer. jdb288 (584) - Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA - MAY 7, 2014
Bottle. Pours jet black, lingering tan head. Aroma is strong milk chocolate presense, some cotton candy, booze. Taste is thick, velvety chocolate, a little heat on the back end from the peppers, some dark, bitter coffee. Really deep flavors that mix well. Solid. jandd1983 (4330) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - APR 28, 2014
Sampled at DLD 2014. It poured a dark brown color with a light tan head. The aroma was of roasted malts, chocolate with some bourbon and alcohol. The taste was of dark roasted malt flavors with bourbon and some wood with chocolate and slightly boozy. Very good.
