Definitely can notice the malt switch. On the nose big bourbon followed with smoke. Initial sip reminds me of a highland scotch. Peaty, smooth sweet and filled with bourbon.
December 2016 - Bottle share at One Canada Square, with big thanks to Leighton. As ’Clown Shoes Porcine Unidragon’, 12.5%. Opaque black with a foamy brown head, light lacing. Aroma is molasses and vanilla – some nice aspects but a little too ’sweet’ seeming. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is earthy and woody, dry and spicy, booze. Then woody, dry and spicy again. A bit harsh and hard to drink. (3.2) madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - DEC 29, 2016

Level 42 Bottleshare and no Mark King in sight. Thanks to Leighton. Clear amber - brown beer, patchy pale tan head. Palate is light and semi dry with decent fine carbonation. Thin dark malts, decent dark chocolate. Mild dark fruits. Smooth finish. Spicy linger. Not bad. Barreling and smoke well buried.
Bottle at level 42 shared by Leighton. It pours jet black with a mid tan head. The aroma isrich, sweet, vanila, loads of wood, intoxicating sweetness, chocolate gateaux, roasted malt, dried fruits, and creamy milk chocolate. The taste is quite bitter and harsh upfront, wood, varnish, boozy alcohol boost, dark chocolate, hard roasted malt, hint of smoke and maybe a touch of solvent. Full body and fine carbonation. Aroma is quite nice, but the taste is a touch harsh. Ok. teorn88 (7682) - Rimini, ITALY - DEC 16, 2016

November 13, 2015 - bottle from AV3 a long time ago. Very dark pour with limited head. Aroma was sweet malt, bourbon and chocolate. Taste started out sweet, moved into a mild bourbon and finished too dry and roasty for me. vandc01 (415) - North Branch, USA - OCT 23, 2015
