UPDATED: OCT 17, 2017 A very well done wee heavy. All malt with toffee and caramel in the aroma. Same with the taste. Not for the hop heads but very solid. hman43 (1747) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - SEP 30, 2017
It pours cloudy brown with a white head. It has malty rich flavors and a slight smoke and nut element to it. It is slightly fruity with some tartness. Lele (556) - Padova, ITALY - MAY 12, 2017
Veramente ottima e complessa! Al naso e in bocca leggero torbato e maltato, ma soprattutto abbondante liquoroso e caramello. Anche uvetta. Corpo strutturato

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark nut brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized creamy beige-white head that left good lacing. The aroma was toffee, nut, raisin and plum. The flavor was nutty and malty with toffee, a boozy presence, dark fruits and faint golden fruits. Booziness grows but works well. Long finish. Medium body. pretty tasty. ansalon (4102) - Stockholm, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - MAY 26, 2016

Pours a hazy orange with a medium sized head.
Aroma is lightly sweet, sort of nutty, some tea & toffee. Sort of some sawdust... Fine enough.
Boozy with some cherry plenty of toffee, some nutty malt. Not bade.
Bottle at home. It’s a deep amber beer with a medium off white head. Loads of biscuit toasty malty aroma notes with caramel and nutty side notes. Mainly caramel malty flavor with sweet nutty notes leading to a sweet malty finish. Only light hoppy notes. It lacks complexity but is well made overall. halfonit (1392) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 12, 2016
Bottled 10/22/14. Pours a slightly cloudy deep and dark golden amber color. Aroma is of yeast, malts, cloves, fig, dark fruits, and some subtle booziness. Nice and heavy palate with just the right amount of carbonation. Flavor is of dark fruit, yeast, malts, clove and a hint of moss scotch. Leaves a sweeter dark fruit finish. Wow. Another great beer from Clown Shoes.
