COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Like a stamp on a tramp, this beer is about not so subtle seduction. Soft but complex malts, Chambly yeast, sweet orange peel, Columbus, Amarillo, and Centennial hops have merged to create a bodacious Belgian IPA.

Bottle 355 ml, Swedish alias "Monastic". Yellowish-brown with a white head. Yeasty and hoppy aroma. More m alt in the taste. A bit peculiar combo of earthiness and hop.

12oz bb.x. Willems&Zo Nov2016. - The tramp shines solidly in this one: C-hop citrus resin and actual orange peel reduced into the pale and crystal (?) malt plywood body. Oozes some sweet abv fumes, but is really missing a yeast soul. Could use some levity, but I guess that is what makes this style a Belgian IPA seen from the US-IPA side of the Atlantic. "not so subtle seduction" sounds fair enough. Sticky, piney hop jam doesn’t travel all that well though, regardless of bb date. 10% drainpour.

Aroma; the mild forest, washing through a juicy environment, orange bread passing by, fruity dough too. Look; off white head, about clear golden amber body. Taste; hops, grapefruit, herbs, bread, roasted malts, orange peel - leading to a semi dry herbal finish. Feel; ok body, soft carbonation, semi dry feel. Overall; tasty herbal brew. Bottled 355ml (As Monastic from Systembolaget Umeå)
Slightly hazy orange color, good white head and some lace. Aroma has citrus, fruits, white pepper and yeastyness. Medium-bodied. Citrus, white pepper, pineapple, Belgi yeasty in the flavor. Slightly bready too. Orange peel (light rubberish notes) in the aftertaste. Modern IPA-Belgi yeast -hybrid. Ok.

Solid IPA with Belgian assertations, but certainly with an American hoppy kick to it. Complex and powerful...
