Bomber shared by Big Lou, thanks man! Dark pour. Aroma is chocolate and cherries, strange. Taste is toasted malts up front, then dry ashy finish. Not a great finish which ruins this for me. ljthiessen (1391) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - MAR 27, 2017
Bottle. Nearly black pour with a small tan head. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, cherries. Taste is much the same - chocolate, some dark fruit, medium body with a dry finish. Dorkenstein (563) - - MAR 23, 2017
Aromas of smoke, dark fruit, and espresso. Taste is ash, dark fruit and semi-sweet milk chocolate, espresso, star anise. Good. Bottled on 8/4/2016. neepsntatties (2019) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle. Colour...black with a thin ecru head. Nose...malted milk balls, dark chocolate and fudge sauce. Palate...a bit thinner than I thought it would be but good flavours of bittersweet chocolate, oak tannin and dark toffee. The mid palate is bitter and the finish is long, laden with chocolate and notes of cassis. craftbeersweden (688) - SWEDEN - MAR 5, 2017

Pitch black coloured body with a three centimetre tall rich light brown head. Aroma of cream, lactose, vanilla, oak, alcohol, soy sauce, mushrooms, earth and a good deal of roasted malts. Full-bodied; Sweet flavours at first with brown sugar, molasses, toffee and a lot of vanilla noticeable coupled with some roasted malt, a light amount of coffee and earth and a smooth cherry and fruity finish with the drier oak and grainy flavours that show up at the end. Aftertaste shows some bitterness from the dry roasted malt, but a lot of creamy notes from the lactose along with some depth from the alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice robust Imperial Stout with some smooth flavours, a lot of complexity and a deep creamy finish - smooth, especially considering the alcohol. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 17-October-2015 for US$7,99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-February-2017.

Draft. Pours black with a beige head. Mild smoked and roasted malts, a little fudge-like sweetness, and mild lingering smoked malts. Pretty good. KevinReddirt (196) - Midland, Texas, USA - JAN 14, 2017
My first try of a Clown Shoes anything. Off to a good start. It pours out of the bomber into a snifter a typical Imperial Stout an inky black. It comes with a swell light brown head that eventually breaks up. The nose is a moderate molasses and chocolate. Inviting. The flavors in the taste are interesting, oak, earth, toast and a nice sweetness at the end. I detect no push of the alcohol, my bottle indicates 10.5%. Worth a return visit.
