COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In a world full of uncertainty, hardship, and people trying to hold us back, do we need the undead and trademark attorneys too? Clown Shoes says, "No, die, monsters, die!" Forces of darkness brought about a change in the name of this beer, which was released to celebrate our second anniversary, but it still sports signature dark malts, holy water, and malt smoked locally with hickory and ash.

Shared with wim at my home. First one og 2017, let’s start of well! Black colored beer with off-white head and no carbonation visible. Roasted malty aroma. Full sparkling creamy palate. Finish is sweet coffee malty mucca.

Bottle bought in Pescadero, California. Clean and astringent, but not thin. Spicy.

Bouteille.

Bottle. Thick black with small head. Strong roasted malt body. Unsweet dark chocolate, black licorice, mild smoked notes. Moderate booze.

Opaque black pour, medium, rocky tan head. Some typical stout characteristics (dark chocolate, coffee roast) but there is some light smokiness that makes for a nice variation. ABV is well hidden. Quite enjoyable.

Bottle pour into taster cup at One Stop Market 30th Anniversary. Appearance is very dark brown, ring of light brown head with mild lacing. Aroma is dark fruits, chocolate, vanilla, tinge of smoke. Taste is big smoke and dark fruit, roasted malts, chocolate. Palate is medium bodied with average carbonation, finish like taste. Overall, the smoke adds a nice little unique wrinkle to this, which also has the usual delicious features of an impy.

Bouteille.

Bomber shared by Carlson. Black color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon, anise, and light peat. Sweet and very malty, with a sharp roasted bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, and thick. This is a flavorful and strong stout, even a bit overly assertive. Still, pretty tasty.

Pours very dark with a tan coloured head, dissipating not so quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee and burnt sugar. Sweet overall. In the mouth it is sweet chocolately, caramel, some coffee notes and a little licorice. Thick texture, soft carbonation, a little astringency in the aftertaste. Very pleasant beer though.
