Bomber shared by Carlson. Black color, with a small, tan head. The aroma is bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon, anise, and light peat. Sweet and very malty, with a sharp roasted bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, and thick. This is a flavorful and strong stout, even a bit overly assertive. Still, pretty tasty. Faathoven (104) - Barcellona P.G., ITALY - NOV 9, 2016
Pours very dark with a tan coloured head, dissipating not so quickly. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, some coffee and burnt sugar. Sweet overall. In the mouth it is sweet chocolately, caramel, some coffee notes and a little licorice. Thick texture, soft carbonation, a little astringency in the aftertaste. Very pleasant beer though. drfabulous (8485) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - NOV 8, 2016
22 ounce bottle. Deep dark stout with big booze and chocolate and pretty pretty pretty good. gopherfan99 (2000) - Minnesota, USA - NOV 2, 2016
Tap; pours black with ring of beige foam; aroma of dark fruits, smoke, roasted malts, chocolate, vanilla, and some spice; taste is sweet with chocolate, roasted malts, smoke, dark fruits, and vanilla; finish is dry, very light bitter with some alcohol warming; complex and good PugUglyBrewer (765) - - OCT 30, 2016
Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a large wine glass. The appearance is dense black with a brown milk chocolaty head of foam. The aroma is black licorice, caramel, burnt sugar, dried prunes and sweet cocoa. The tasting on this was delectable. A chewy mouthfeel chocked full of sweet caramel, burnt sugar, cocoa, and a slight smoke character.

Pours black with a fully-lasting, creamy, dark brown head that leaves very good lacing. Aroma of dark chocolate and spruce. Medium body, appropriate carbonation, lightly bitter, medium sweet, creamy mouthfeel, flavors of chocolate, light molasses leading to a brief caramel finish. Excellent! Hard not to like from the packaging through to the beer itself. Jet black pour with thin tan head. A massive range of aroma - licorice, prunes, chocolate and more. Flavor is a massive burst of flavor, again, licorice, chocolate, coffee dried fruit and more. Long finish which exhibits a touch of heat to remind you how boozy this is. olsvammel (7274) - Örebro, SWEDEN - OCT 9, 2016
Sample at SBWF 2016. Dark malty smell with bourbon, dark chocolate and roasted aromas. Similar taste, sweet with caramel. Well hidden ABV. Nice! magicmn (171) - Moscow, RUSSIA - SEP 14, 2016
Bottled at Beergeek store St Peterburg. Dark brown with, hoppy aroma of berries and trace of coffee. Taste is bit dull, hoppy enough, body is medium-light, bit water for a imperial stout, not enough maltiness - just bit coffee. Completely disappointing for such a high-rated beer. 22 oz bottle poured into a tulip. As Vampire Slayer, bottled in 2012. Black with tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, roast, light booze. Tastes of light floral notes, dark chocolate, light dark fruit. Medium-full body with a dry finish.
